Yep, I just did. I answered and no one responded.

Call back gets "The number you have dialed is not in service."  That means this number is SPOOFED and that spells SCAM.  If they're hiding their identity behind a spoofed number, they're lying.  That's the best reason in the world to never answer and block the number.

well I just got a call myself .. but i have figured how to keep them away .. I simply answer ... " thank you for call the federal dept of investigation how may I direct your call?" I usually get an " Oh s..T !" and they hang up never to be heard from again ...

Me too, second Missouri number I've been bothered with this week. Never leaves message.

I just received a call from this number.  She gave a fake name identifying herself as from "your credit card company.  Don't worry, there is nothing wrong with your card.  We just want to offer you new lower interest rates".  That's when I hung up.  This is a scam.  If it was from my "credit card company", they would have said the actual name of the company AND I don't know of one legitimate card company that is calling to lower the interest rates.  Besides, I don't carry a balance so it doesn't matter what the rate is.  Don't fall for these scams.  Just hang up.

Perhaps our cell phone providers are selling our numbers to 3rd parties and so on.

Received a call from them today, when I answered it was silent and they hung up after a few seconds. Probably fishing for active phone numbers.

just got a call, no one on the other side. Number is now blocked.

I literaly just got that call

"Hi, this is ________ with Credit Card Services.  Your credit card is currently not outstanding.  You are eligible for lower rates.  Please press "1" to speak to a representative and check your eligibility for lower rates."

I pressed "1."

"Your call is very important to us.  Please hold and one of our representatives will be with you shortly."

Hold music for ten seconds, then the call was disconnected.

I called back only to hear, "You have reached a non-working number. Announcement 146228-2."

I tried again... "Your call cannot be completed as dialed.  Please check the number and dial again. 2CD."

Called. Didnt anser. Didnt leave a voicemail.

Just got called.  Didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer.  They didn't leave a message.

Answered and it was some automated voice also talking about some credit card account. I don't have a credit card so I clicked the option to speak to someone and tell them to not call cause they called someone that they have no need to call. Then the guy started trying to flatter me and made kissing noises. That's when I hung up cause it quickly got really creepy

Answered and no one there...will now block.  I really liked Billy's idea, answer -thank you for calling the Federal investigation division how may I direct your call?!
