1) Unknown number calls my cell phone
2) No message left
3) Check 800Notes
4) Block number

Rinse and repeat. :P

Got a call from this number. Voice of Indian male claiming tobe calling about computer issue.  Total scam call.  Extremely bad english and reading from script.  Lots of Hindi inthe background noise.   SCAM!

Got the same call a few minutes ago.  What scares me is that he knew my name and my husband's name.  Said our computer was infected and he could help us fix it.  Said I should press the "window's icon key", then the "r" key.  He was giving me more instructions, but I hung up on him.  If I would have followed his instructions, could he have actually accessed our computer?

Yes, he could have if you had followed his instructions.

Try checking out the area code on these calls - if you can't find any info on the area code, then yes, it was probably a spammer. Blocked.

I had this same call 2 days ago.   Hung up.  It is very disturbing.

Why can't the phone company or whoever gave them the number to be able to go after them with all the complaints. We pay for our phone service and they have our info. Does not make sense that they can't get these scammers.
