2nd call in a week. Scam artist threatening legal action for a serious criminal tax offense unless you contact and pay immediately!!! Blocked, but uses a different name & number each time.

Received a call from 585=219-1317 - obviously a scam - something about a criminal offense and magistratae court.

Said could bring federal court action.  Recording..  Said BRING IT ON!   SCAM

If you get a call from this guy feel free to blow a fog horn into the phone before hanging up. Then block the number.

Has a "foreign" accent...don't think the IRS collection bureau has sent it's work offshore...yet. Big scam.

IRS Scam.  This scammer calls himself "Kevin Peterson"  A few months ago I got six calls from another scammer who called himself "David Grey" reading the exact same script.  NBC News just did a story about this scam a few days ago.

Got a message from Kevin Peterson who says he is with the Department of the Treasury and that this is their second attempt to contact someone at my number (never identifies who he is looking for, however).  This is interesting because a couple of weeks ago we received a robo-message from another number which caller ID identified as "Not in Use" (interesting) and it was a similar kind of message.  I submitted a report to the FCC on this as it was a particularly abrasive and threatening message.  These are obviously connected callers as that is the only way they would know they called and left a message previously.

Telephone message left from person with accent stating his name was Kevin Peterson and that I was facing enforcement action by the United States Treasury.  Ignoring the phone call would result in me facing a federal criminal offense and action by a judge, grand jury, magistrate or federal court.  Instructed to return the call to 585-219-1317. So obviously a scam from accent, to scripted lines to the threat of all the types of judicial hearings.
