Received the same scam call!

just got a call. they left a voice mail about a important matter placed on their desk and said that i have been notified..... ok..... whatever....

keep them from calling me i don't owe any one money

YEs they are the same people from Goldberg Maxwell, or another arbitration company guy named Victor Wallace. This F*@k tards just dont stop. Now with that number they are saying their National Check Registry, DO NOT FALL ON THIS SCAM!!! these are worthless pieces of Sh*t people try to get money out of you.

They just left me the same message.  Must be making their rounds today.  The call back number that was left on my voice mail is different than the number they called me from.  Getting ready to google that one too and see how many scams pop up!

I received a call saying I was going to be sued.  I was scared to death.  I had owed a company but I have paid that debt.  I don't know for sure what to do.

I reiceved a call from 585-278-1983 and I answered
The call and the lady was rude when I said that I never even beard of them and that she was going to take me to take me to court if I didn't pay my debt she said I did a check fraud for a payday loan and now I'm scare I don't know what to do please help

Do not worry they are scam artist, the owner is a convicted felon, just do not take their calls, and tell them they have been reported to the local law enforcement agency. Do not giving them any information at all about yourself or your bank accounts

All I got was an automated voice prompting me to select option 1 and when I reviewed the OUT OF STATE phone #, it said "We are calling about the fraudulent activity on your checking account." It then disconnected, so I checked my online acct and all was well. I called them back and they answered with National Check Registry and some dude took my number and said to disregard the call. They are fishing for idiots, don't be that guy/gal.

Callback number they left was 315-410-8426 and the number showing was 585-278-1983, all fraudulent.  They are using scare tactics, on the verge of being illegal.  They have to prove the validity of the debt, not just say we owe money and pay them, really?  You can request that they send to you in writing a Debt Validation Letter showing the original company providing loan, date, amount and where you signed and promised to pay.  Add to that, proof that they lawfully have the right to collect on this, their license number and if they can't, which chances are they won't be able to, you can tell them to just leave you alone.

I received one ignored the call however I got one from a Gatestone Inc "used to be" Wolftech Capital is this a ligitimate company? I dont fill I owe a debt have been sending them money but after recieving this call looking it up to find they are a scam can anyone help me out with this company?

Don't fall for this scam!  I did about a month ago and paid it. However, now they are calling again with the same BS!

They are still at it.  I had a debt that I paid this spring and they called me pretending to be the National Check Regestry and I was part of a check fraud investigation.  The guy on the phone said he was contacted by my county clerk for a civil suit, but would not give me the case number.  He tried to talk all the legal BS and I told him I did not understand a word he said just give me the case number and I would deal with it. He then transferred me to the "legal" department and that guy really blew it.  He would not answer my questions and then gave me a settlement amount out of court, still would not give me the case Number, and said a constable would be ther between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. I hung up they called back once. Any time you get these calls get the case number if you get it. Tell them you will call them back and call the court clerk with the case number, they will know if it is legit.  If they don't give you a case number they are liers.

I got the same call yesterday (August 23, 2012!)  National Check Registry - Fraud Division!  Buncha bull crap!  Scam!  I laughed when he said he was from the National Check Registy!  He got pissed cause I laughed!   Heck - I submitted to the FBI's website.

Don't call them.  It's a scam!  I got the same call yesterday (august 23, 2012)   He told me that I had two allegations against my social security number.  Whatever!  I pay my bills!   I went on the FBI website to send in info on this fraudster!

Jerks - I got the same call yesterday.  The guy said his name was Kevin Devens (sp?) said he was from the National Check Registry - Fraud Division, stating that there are two allegations that are on against my social security number that I needed to give him a statement, or that he was going to proceed with the legal actions.  

Buncha BS!  don't call them back.  If you do!  Like I did, ask for the company name and reference number.  I got the run around.  I told them that I would like somehting in writing other than a phone call.   I just laughed, funny thing is that he got pissed.  Ha ha ha ha ha ha!  I hung up on him.  It made my day!

This group has been harrassing me too. I am going to record the conversation next time. From what I gather, any threats of legal action by debt collectors is subject to a $1000 award to the plaintiff in the State of Pa. If I indeed owe, then the company needs to validate and let me know. I would be more than glad to work out an arrangement. But with all of these fraudulent calls, I have no clue who is legitimate.
