Unknown number. I did not pick up and no message left. Most likely a Scammer therefore I blocked this number.

This is local to my area, but I didn't recognize the number so didn't pick up. No message was left...

I received 2 calls today (so far) within an hour and a half from this number.  It is local to my area, but one I do not recognize, so I did not pick up.  No message was left either time.

States that they are nys troopers asking for donations.... scam because they don't do that

On this call they claimed to be the "New York Police Chiefs"  instead of the Troopers. Scammer!

Just received a missed call from this same number 585-293-8772 Churchville, NY. No message was left which always leads me to believe its a scam. Will block number. This site always helps to confirm that it is a scam. Thank you all.

3 calls from this creep ..... representing police to collect money.... he's been doing this for a few years and I answered the phone knowing it was this pseudo-cop ....told him he should be ashamed and may he rot in hell!!

Someone asking for support for Police Chiefs of NY or something.
If nothing else, I'm reporting that this scammer is active.
Police benevolent societies don't make cold calls, so obviously a scammer.
Also, this was a live person who sounded like they could be from this area.

Four calls to my home in Webster in 2 days.  Never leaves a message. Will follow the advice of others and block this number.

called my cell phone NY State Police something or other asking for a pledge I said I would try ( not really) then informed me it was a MINIMUM  10.00 pledge.  told him sorry your on my cell and I pay by the minutes.  I hung up

Caller ID was "Churchville, NY", left no message when we didn't answer.
