I've gotten calls from this number every day, sometimes twice a day (including weekends). They never leave a message.  The calls are always before 9:00 p.m. so I figure they're marketing calls.

I run a business and our sales line received a call from this number.  It was a University of Rochester student legitimately looking for information about our services.  He gave us a different contact number, however.

This number called me this morning at 10:30. No Message. Then I found this website. I am George Bush's cousin. Beware.

Do you remember the contact number he gave you? I could tell you if it was an on campus number and search the directory.

This number called me last week but did leave a message.  It was someone from the University of Rochester calling me as well-- I think from the admissions office, from what I gathered.

I have gotten several calls- when i call back immediately after it says this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service.  Huh?

Me too, same experience as U of R.  They have been calling every day for maybe a week and a half, but when I call back it won't connect me.  Extremely annoying.

I'm pretty sure it's UofR security, not a telemarketer or anything

This number called me and was a fax machine beeping at me.

I just tried faxing the number and get a "phone number is disconnected" message.

I got a call from the same number, I'm pretty sure it was the UoR Bookstore, the textbook desk to be exact, telling me that one of my books came in.  Hope that's helpful!

I had a missed call from this number tonight. I'm an alum and I remember there being a generic number for outgoing calls that shows up on caller id. In my case they were probably calling to ask me for money.

When I called back the recording stated the number has either been disconnectrd or is out of service.

Number is University of Rochester, probably medical center

This is a University of Rochester trunk line where multiple U of R lines funnel through.  You need to dial the specific number to contact the person who called you.  If you dial this specific number, it will not accept it.

They called me today at 12:45 pm est I called back 5 min. later and a recording said the number was disconnected.

Received call from this number, said, "soory you have reached a number temporairly out of service or has been disconnected. Weird.

This number is a legitimate number for outgoing calls only from the University of Rochester Medical Center/Strong Memorial Hospital/Galisano's Children Hospital. A recording calls from this number to remind us of our appointment with the Pediatric Endocrinology department.

I picked up the call and the calling entity immediately hung up (!)

I received three calls from this number in the past 24 hrs.  sounds like to child playing with a phone
