They called THREE times in a row...asked for a name that was clearly not me...then after telling him he had the wrong number he said that he needed to speak to the person in charge of the RG&E account.  I hung up and he called AGAIN!  This time giving me an address that I have never been attached to trying to get me to talk to him about my electric bill...4 times in 2.5 mins!

These are bozos attempting to resell gas and electric by pretending they are offering a "rebate" on your bill from your local utility. This is underhanded baloney from bottom feeders.

Yes, they just called concerning about a bill and that she needed to speak to the landlord of our company.  She was nasty and telling me if she gives too much details is like wasting her time.  Theni ask her if we owe money? and she started like she couldn't hear me, so i hang up!

Had 2 missed calls from this number, a minute apart from each other. They called a business cell phone that I have so I thought it may have been a client that I missed.  So of course, I googled the number (like I always do when I don't recognize an incoming number) and found this information, as is another scam about some kind of electric bill crap!  When will it ever end?!?!

Got a call from this number at 5:55 pm when office hours are over. They asked for me directly by name then tried saying I am offered in the rebate program to lower my electric bill I acted like I was getting the paper work shuffled papers around and said hmm can't locate it. Then She was like well I can call back tomorrow at 9:30 am once find them I was like oh yeah sure sure I'll be here to get your call.

I'm a CEO and this women had no clue that she was attempting to Con an executive officer that does work with the federal and state government. To let you know this is a typical scam around this time then try to get your POD number off your bill to switch you to there carrier or they take every info you gave them and create debt in your name.

1st: ask them what do you think my address is..? answer they will never know because its no there for them to read.

2nd: ask them what do you think my pod number is..? answer is if they are they electric company they will already know it so they will read it off to you not you to them.

3rd: never give information if you didn't call them then it's always going to be a scam.

Last I really hope this bozo reads this cause if they call back tomorrow I have reverse tracking on my line and there going to be meeting some friendly FBI agents for questions. Recommend give up your con your very bad at it like a fish out of water bad.

This is definitely a scam. They leave messages on my cell phone supposedly about my "utility bill", but I know they are not calling from any of my real providers, and I am already receiving bills from my providers, and my bills are paid and up to date. Also they are calling from another part of the state, far from where I live. Another thing is that my real utility providers dont have my cell phone number, but I tend to get scam and spam phone calls on it!

Great Suggestions to catch them in their telephone schemes!  We had to set up a special extension for junk/telemarketer calls and many will just hang-up.  The extension records the number they call from, and we have composed a Do Not Answer or Call Back List (in numerical order beginning with area codes).  It now contains over six hundred numbers.  Sure wish the FCC could put a stop to these nuisance calls!

The power scammers just called my cell phone.  This number is on reject so they left a voice mail for me, not mentioned by name, to call them back with an 800 number with extension and told me to call with with my current bill in hand.  If I'm not paying my bill, why would I need to have my bill in hand if this was a real company I am dealing with? The real company has access to my records.

I got the same thing - 3 calls in a row.  The first time I actually answered because it was my local area code - since I own a business I thought it may have been a client.  She said she needed to speak to the person in charge of the National Grid account.  I then told her I think she had the wrong number because this was a business.  I hung up. She called back, not once, but 2 more times right in a row.  After that, I went on my cell phone providers account and blocked the number.  Very rude!! When will this madness ever end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scam. They left a message on my answering machine saying it was "urgent we speak to you today regarding your NYSE&G account, and to call him back with my bill in hand by the end of the day."  I knew that it was one of the utility companies that want you to use them instead of main electric company, but the way he spoke about how "urgent" it is, and the tone of his voice, actually had me very worried for a minute that I forgot to pay my bill. I wonder how many people he's actually hooked with this routine by scaring them, and that don't know any better?  Stupid thing is, our phone number is listed under my husband's business-- "Electrician", and our answering machine states you've reached an electrician -- but I guess nothing ever deters these scammers!

I wasn't at my desk so I couldn't google the callerID before I picked up.  Big mistake.

Some chick trying to sound authoritative

"Hi, howya doin?  I need to speak to the person who handles the Rockland Electric Bill."

Well, Rockland Electric isn't even the utility here (next town over, hon) so I just hung up knowing that it was a SCAM

I'm almost feeling sorry for the SAPS that make these calls.  It's 4:30pm on the day before Thanksgiving and their employer has them trying to find suckers to take the bait for their slimy services.

Give your poor SAP employees the day off you scumb*gs. Let them enjoy a nice holiday weekend.  There is always Monday to try to re-ignite the scam.

This number (585) 360-1101. Keeps calling over and over. will not leave a message. very annoying.

    depends who is asking
    more unsolicited auto dialed numbers
my position is: if you do not recognize the number - do NOT answer.

IF the caller care enough, they would leave a semblance of a heartfelt message.

could be a SCAMMER at work
