They keep calling and calling - if I got a live person I would waste as much time of these scumbags as possible.
It's a LONG convoluted message who on how to become wealthy (for the scammers).
Sad that people fall for these lowlifes

Put a law into effect - $.10 per robo call. The number would drop by 99% tomorrow.

I have realized the calls from 585-431-1777 began after I registered a domain name with godaddy.com. I know they solicited my info or it is because godaddy allows all of the domain registrant information to remain public unless you pay them a fee for privacy. is that a joke?
So GoDaddy will not allow us to block our personal information on our account on their site. We are forced to let the world know our real name among other info and the only way we are able to prevent anyone from seeing this personal info is to pay for the privacy plan that is offered by GoDaddy.
Nobody should be allowed to exploit anyone's personal information without permission and there should be a law against what GoDaddy is doing. It should be all info is NOT revealed by default and only revealed by the registrant if they so choose. Exploiting the person information on someone just because they registered a domain is just unfair and can be dangerous because I for one have experienced hate mail from a few people who insist I should not keep a domain name registered since I was not using it. One guy was threatening me because he wanted the domain I owned and it began as a cordial communication but he got very  arrogant and then threatening. This of course is after he already knew alot of person info about me. THANKS GO DADDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. YOU WILL BE BLAMED IF THIS GUY SHOWS UP AND HARMS ME OR MY FAMILY!
Recently I received an email from GoDaddy saying I was going to have my domain cancelled because I did not pay for something and then I followed the link to fix this issue and it asked me to sign into my GoDaddy account. I entered the sign in information correctly and it kept rejecting me. Well, it was a scam. Someone sent me the email with a fake GoDaddy sign on screen and then the person got my name and password. They signed into my GoDaddy account and tried to cancel my domain registrations. I caught them in time as I was able to sign in and change my passcode. This is all because GoDaddy allows people the ability to see my contact info even if I want it kept private.
Bottom line iss 585-431-1777 is also a company that goes to the GoDaddy website to get people's info because it is one of the ways they can get a person's phone number legally and start soliciting them with this bogus long message that offers no "opt out" option. So I have filed a legal complaint against the owner of 585-431-1777 and if they continue to contact me, each call is another offense they will be fined for. They were informed by  an attorney who tracked their contact info and mailed a certified letter to them. If 585-431-1777 continues to contact me, each time will cost them $500 settlement fee to me as well as all of the fines and court fees. They will be squashed eventually and I hope they, pardon my anger, but I hope they drown in a pool of their own fecis. Because they are pieces of SH*T!

That's the real world folks. Our lives are just not our own anymore and now that I do not give a crap what people think of me, i speak my feelings loudly. I am tired of letting people like those from 585-431-1777 harass me at will and leave me without any options to prevent their harassment. I will speak up and fight. !!! I will see to it they burn at the stake, figuratively speaking! I'm DONE!

️ … godaddy allows all of the domain registrant information to remain public unless you pay them a fee for privacy. is that a joke? …

If it is, the joke's on you.

No kidding.  Are you a fool or just a noobie?  The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers is responsible for certifying domain name registrars, which are companies that operate the servers that translate the domain name that you have chosen into the IP address of your server.  (Perhaps that's an oversimplification, but it will have to do for now.)  Otherwise, people would have to type in something like 192.168.66.79 to see your web site instead of "example.com."  And you would have to supply a web server with a static IP address for people to use, lest they be directed to a different website every few hours when they type in the same numbers.

One of the problems with web sites is that sometimes they don't work, or they are misprogrammed and disrupt other web sites, or they spread viruses and worms or other malware, or they use a trademarked name in an attempt at cybersquatting, or they provide an open relay for email so that spammers can hide their true identities and locations.  That's why you need to provide your contact information to the registrar and why it is normally made available for all to see.

    See:
    https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/approve ... uting_type=path

The agreement between ICANN and your registrar permits registrations by proxy, but does not require it.  However, when you are registering by proxy, you are having the proxy assume certain responsibilities for your web site, including filtering out fraudulent emails.  These services are why they charge extra for a private proxy.

That you are complaining that it should always be the case that all registrations be private is almost laughable on this site, because so many people here regard the publicly available name information with such high regard that a private registration is often regarded as a shady or illegal operation, even when this is demonstrably not true.

If you really want a fully private registration, then go to some company that offers to allow you to use names such as "myselectedname.example.com".  They will have the registration to "example.com" and can provide any name you want as the name before the first period or dot.

scammers within minutes of each other !! We are supposed to call this number and listen to a recording about the scam, I mean "business".
I saw somewhere that this is likely "Bob" whose recordings have previously begun something like this: "Hi, this is Bob, calling you back with that information you wanted...: ( Not ! ).
