Scam call from "IRS"

IRS Tax scam. This time the message was left on my cell. All other times have been on my landline. They "call" from various numbers but always use the same verbiage, like they're reading from a script and ALL have had a heavy Indian accent. This time it sounded like a female. All the other calls have been male. I'll add this one to the complaint I already filed with the FTC. Hopefully, one day they'll catch these lowlifes!!

Recorded message from female voice (NO accent) stating it is from the IRS.  You or your "attorney of record" must call immediately.  Such crap.  Tired of this type of call.

Received a call like this. Will report this to IRS.

Well, my mom just got the call and he threatened her....told her she had thirty minutes til she waa going to be arrested...told her that her life was over as she knows it....this number is total bull [***]....i called him back and chewed his ass out and he started talking smack to me. Please report this ass if he contacts you so he gets in trouble.

I am getting repetitive phone calls from this number
They threaten to collect IRS debt  etc.

They shall be stopped.

Are these people stupid.  The IRS can not just arrest you with out proper procedure.  Caller is using name Agent Heather Gray. Message is left by an automated recording for phone # 585-444-6953.  It is rare that you get a phone call from the IRS.  Normally you get a letter in the mail from the stating any issues with the IRS you need to clear up.  A case # or file # in the letter contact information of the agent who is working your case and your agent is always local to your area.

Just got this call! I did not answer and I am not calling it back! The IRS does not call you like that, they will mail you............It's a scam and they did have an Indian accent..........So stupid! They even said at the end take care! Who does that?! Ha! Get a job and a life!

I received the same automated call this morning!

I don't understand why this phone (585-444-6953) keeps calling. It sounds scare and have an Indian accent.........

THEY ARE DOING SINCE 2010 MY BROTHER CALL FROM DIFFERENT NUMBER THEN HE ASKED THEM SO MANY QUESTION THEN HE HANG UP ON HIM I KNOW SINCE THEN.  THIS IS [***] JUST AGNORE IT.

Just received a threatening and abusive call from this number. Will report it to the IRS and FTC

I get calls from 585-444-6953 asking me to call back 786-383-0464 saying they're IRS or something. I can hardly understand because of his thick accent.

I also received this call. A message was left on my answering machine. A woman (no Accent) said that I had to return the call ASAP, and to contact my lawyer, before the IRS took legal action against me.  It came from the same #, 585 444-6953 in West
Henriet, N.Y., and I was to call the same # back.

IRS, stating to call them to prevent legal action asap.

They called me this afternoon and left a message "The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My officer Heather Grey from Internal Revenue Service and the hotline to my division is 5854446953. I repeat it's 5854446953. Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take any legal allegation against you. Goodbye and take care." . I called them back and a man speaking with Indian accent told me that he was calling me from IRS. He told me I had miscalculations for tax returns from the past three years with a debt of about $4500. He mentioned that every thing was late because I just had only 45 minutes to solve all problems with IRS. After 45 minutes all my bank accounts, debit cards, credit cards, driver license, and other accounts would be closed or suspended. He told me that some day someone from the Court House would come to my house and drive me to the Court House, and that I would pay $32000 and go to the jail at least 9 years. After I asked him how I could avoid this penalty, he transferred me to another guy who told me he could help with 3 conditions. The first condition was that I had to go the bank to cash $4500 and then called him back so that he could tell me other steps and conditions. I suspected they were cheaters/hackers and searched this number online. Now everything is clear. Hope they will be arrested soon! JM
