Called saying the were the IRS. I called back... The man refused to let me speak to a supervisor. I insisted...his reply was f@#$ you. He admitted itwas a scam and told me he was in Dubai...that he would never be caught.

my accountant says irs usually notifies by mail.
be careful if they ask for name and ss number etc

I'm postal worker and our information was hacked.
Anyone else here a postal worker?

Just got a call from this number claiming they're the IRS.  No one answered the phone when I returned their call to tell them they're full of it!  Pass it on!

VM message left on answering machine - automated voice - call immediately - important IRS matter.  IRS will not call you, only mail.  THIS IS A SCAM.  DON'T GET CAUGHT IN IT!

From message on answering machine: Female voice identified herself as "Officer Julie Smith" from the IRS and was contacting me to resolve a time-sensitive issue. Said I needed to reply immediately or they will take action against me.
Definitely a scam. IRS only contacts by mail.

I got call from 585-444-9121...IRS,,, also day before got similar call from 210-418-5058...not sure why our phone is being selected ...know its a scam.., How and where can  this be reported ...

Received ph call from 585-444-7121.  Spoke to "Jose Martinez", ID #7405989.  Told there were "problems with my income tax & said they were filing a lawsuit against me.  I got mad & he hung up.  I called back the following day & ask him 3 times how to spell my first name.  He never did tell me.  I told him this was a scam & he admitted that it was!

An illiterate claiming to be IRS said a lawsuit is being filed against me for taxes. My question is why won't the phone companies and law track these idiots down and jail them for phone harassment and fraud. It is really getting old.

Got the same voicemail regarding IRS and needing to call them back before they take action. Called them back and the voice mailbox was full.

Got a call this morning from this number

Same call as others, message saying to call back, not ignore or will take further action.  Anyone know how to get them to stop calling?  It's getting annoying!
