Same silly message about some vague unidentified problem that apparently has me deep in [***] with IRS and I need to call Julie Smith back right away before the IRS takes action.  Wouldn't it be nice if you could actually resolve a dispute with the IRS over the phone -- "Oh, you have receipts for that deduction!  Ok then, well never mind and have a good day."

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

i just got the same call just now and I called back and the person you are trying to reach is not available I mean really if you are the IRS them where is the message that say thanking for calling the IRS, not some cheap [***] generic message this is a scam do not give your information tax season is around the comer call the IRS yourself and find out any information you need to know

Got call said IRS accent of arabic or iranian or something to that tone wanted my number gave one number off asked why I was giving one number off asked why I did that asked why needed it then if knew what it was and why they are the Irs said because I F***ed you last night in your P**** etc etc so of course this is not the IRS....LOLOLOL

I got a strange scary call that I owe taxes I need to pay him $3,500.00 or he will cancell all my credit and call my bank to take out any money I have I yelled ,at him and he said that next time I raise my voice he will have someone arrest me I was really scared I contact the IRS and they told me it was a scam thank god.

Two calls leaving voice mails on our machine in the last week. The name was Julie Smith with the IRS, and we were supposed to call this number. The voice was computer generated.

I just received this same call informing me of the IRS violations. I was also threatened with my local Sheriff's Department in which I am a member of.  I have no financial obligations to the IRS. He also spoke about seizing my property, cars, credit cards and bank accounts.  He did not ask for any money at this time, that probably will result in another call....smh

Those clowns are learning as they go along probably by reading this forum.  They are backing off on threatening suit since the IRS doesn't do that and now threatening garnishment and seizures.  I wish the government and media would make more of an effort to inform the unknowing about these sewer rats.

This is a scam phone call. Please don't respond to this call.

Third call today. Never leave message so I decided to answer it. Just get a recording.  They say they are the IRS but I know they aren't.  Why can't the government stop this????????

They are located in either India or Pakistan and as such outside the reach of US law.  Call blocker is your best bet.

I got a threatening message from this number.  They left no numbers. etc and they wanted me to pay.
so i hanged up.

they are a royal PITA with too many numbers. I had 7127 blocked and now they come back with 7134. Yeah Im reporting them. no I didn't answer. how they got my cell phone number baffles me. on the home phone we get more calls that have to be blocked than we do from famiy and friends. I'm so sick of this

POS called this morning trying to pull the scam.  I immediately called back and all they said in a heavy Middle Eastern accent was hello? They asked what I wanted, I said you called me! He says this is Obama and you are the son of an idiot. What a [***] freak! I've been calling them all day, they have caller id. Sometimes they pick up and just say you are the son of an idiot!   Sounded like a phone room in the back. Probably ISIS looking for war money! I turned the number into the IRS gov site.

After some months now, again started receiving these fake IRS calls from number 5854447134. Someone by the name of Julie left me a VM and asked to call back on this number. I am sick and tired of these calls as these are very annoying. 6 months back when I received this call, I was almost going to get a Heart attack as the guy was talking to me with great confidence and started to threaten me. However now I dont even care for these calls. Please disregard these calls and dont worry too much.
I hope the cops or FBI can do something about these fake calls. Do not call list does not help at all.

I think that Joe, who commented that the number is generic, either is a fool or works for those sleazy criminals.

I got this call last august and ended up paying $4000 by purchasing gift cards. How stupid I was. I called the police after I paid and came to know that this was a scam and lost my money.
The caller was so aggressive and I'm being an immigrant I was scared and didnt want to get arrested in front of my family.  They asked for $6500 and when I said I dont have that much money, he asked to me call my friends and get the money and atlast he accepted for 2 payments one on that day itself and second next day morning.
Next day when he called I yelled and screamed. He hung up and when I try to call that number it went to someone in India or pakisthan and they dont have a clue who I spoke to and lost money with.

My point is if this is a know problem happening for years together from the same number, why cant it be stopped by goverment forces?
What do we have to do to bring this up to the goverement and stop innocent people to lose their hard earned money.

I'm still receving calls from this same scam group. Everytime I block the number and compain to my local police on which number I recevied the call from. So far I have 4 complaints registered but no use.
