Got a call from this number no message left - called and asked if they were a collections agency, she stated "We are an accounts receivable management company" So, the answer is yes I would assume.

got a call from this number twice today. missed the first call but the intercepted the second. couldn't understand where he was saying he was calling from and wouldn't tell me what he wanted until i verified my address. i refused to confirm my home address until he told me what he wanted. so i ended the conversation. what is this?

Number keeps calling me at all hours and won't leave a message.

They called couldn't understand what or who they were. When I tried to find out more. They wouldn't tell me anything until I verified my birth date. I wouldn't and ended the call.

Wont tell you what they want till you give personal information.

whom every they are , they continue to call all the time and late at night and will not
answer when the phone is picked up and so I ignore the calls now and they the fool
person keeps calling and leaves no message they have over several times. This called
harassment on their behave. I wish they would stop calling. the number is as follows

Spoke to a man (Dan).  He was calling because he thought I was a friend of (me).  I told him I would take a message for (me) and asked what it was about.  He just said it was a "business matter".  Gave me this toll free # 866.625.5094.  Looked that up and didn't find anything so I looked up the # on my caller ID (this 585 #).  Once I saw "Conserve" in a previous post, I recognized it to be a collection agency that my student loans were assigned to.  So...  it's just another collection agency.  They can get in line like the rest of 'em!

I get calls from this number on a regular basis. Usually 2 or 3 each day. They call and don't leave a message. Also, when I pick up, sometimes I can hear someone speaking momentarily - then it goes on mute. The game is...you call them back and ask who was calling and they already know who you are. They ask you to verify name and SSN, and only then will they will tell you all about whatever debt they are trying to collect.

When I spoke with them last, I asked them to call me back on a specific day. They said, just call us on that day, and immediately hung up without providing a call back number. Then, the next day they called 4 times, starting at 5am, and left no messages. (I stopped picking up after a point.) This IS harrassment and we do not have to take it. Report the phone number to your local carrier and/or the better business bureau.

What I've found out about this place is weird. I think they're a collection agency for student loans BUT their means of collection is to call everyone in a community with the last name of the student, regardless of whether they had any evidence the person ever lived there.  In other words, they're a spam collection agency.

I kept getting calls -- no msgs - from Conserve. Finally, one morning I picked the phone up and asked what it was about.  A woman said she needed to speak to Dave BlahBlah [my last name] about "a business matter".  Well, there IS not Dave BlahBlah at my address, never has been, no relatives, nothing. It made me think, though, of a phone message I'd received about six months before looking for SUSANNE BlahBlah re: her student loans.  Just like with the Dave BlahBlah name, I don't know a Susanne BlahBlah, never have, no relatives with that name, etc.

I paid off my student loans a long, long time ago and am lucky enough to have good credit so there's no reason they'd be looking for me. They just get out the roto-dialer and keep calling people with the same last name, hoping to get a relative, I'd guess.  Isn't this illegal?  Doesn't there need to be some reason to call, other than a simple last name?

It's a collection agency for sure.  They (and other collection agencies) keep calling my number cuz they thing I'm the number's previous owner.  I said, "Good luck getting your money, as you're in a very long line of collectors."

Rcvd a call today @2:20pm. No message left either. I don't have any student loans, so maybe they are trying to collect on something else?

They call my phone 2-4x a day. Harrassment!

It is a student loan collection agency they ask to verify because they can not give out the loan information without knowing they are talking to the correct person since that is illegal. if you dont owe the debt simply answer the phone and tell them you are the wrong person and they will take your number off the list. its pretty simple, if you want to know who is calling, answer the phone.
