Received a call stating with ChexSystems Prelegal that I had fraudulent banking activity and I need to call them to resolve this issue.  I contacted ChexSystems directly and they said did not have a pre legal department and that they would handle situations themselves.  This is a scam and when making inquires about this number am seeing that it pops up as a scam.

My wife has been receiving threatening/ harassing calls from this number for weeks. They say she took a loan from loans.com back in 2011, but refuse to give any additional information. They are very rude, abusive, persistent, and threaten us with legal action every time they call. The worst part is, they have some convincing personal information, including bank account info, social security, and employment history. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY! THESE GUYS ARE SCAM ARTISTS! Visit the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov to learn more about your rights as a consumer and how to deal with these type of calls. Remember, the only protection you have against these pieces of human garbage is knowledge -- EMPOWER YOURSELF!
