- nawteebynachureSam with the auto loan network called me. When told that I didn't need an auto loan, he offered me auto insurance. He was nice enough, but is calling from a loud place where the recorded line gives a bunch of feed back, so you hear yourself talking. Don't know if it's a scam or not, but at least he wasn't rude.

- Bill| 3 repliesCalled claiming to be Teck assistant from windows and that I was receiving several virus. Didn't believe him. Wanted me to type address into URL. That's when I ended call.
- FranCalled my work number which is unlisted. No message was left.. however, calls should never come into this number. From an audit and Business perspective, this is a violation of my privacy and a threat to my many years with my corporation. The number has been reported to our security department... who will block it globally...
- ChuckSame scam as the 999 area code call that has been posted lately.
"Sir, I'm calling about a problem you are having with your computer". "Please sit down in front of your computer and I will help you fix it".
I had a blast making this guy waste his time. I pretended like I was really concerned about "my problem" but I just couldn't understand his instructions. It was really very funny. After I wasted his time for as long as I could, I told him that I was going to track him down and make him eat a cow!
He hung up. Guess he didn't have a sense of humor. - LeaSame as most. The 'Windows Computer' SCAM SCAM SCAM. Barely comprehensible person

- Mrs.Gant81These people have been on me like "white on rice"! I talked to a rep today, and told them that I want to be put on their " Do Not Call List", I dont need a auto loan, I have a vehicle thats paid for along with insurance with another outside comapny! I wish they would just leave me alone! Let's shut these scammers down, America!!!! They are taking people's personal info, and using it for their own ill gain!!! So much for the "Do Not Call List", This program really needs to be reinforced, because if not people are going to keep getting bothersome calls, and we dont need that right now, especially when the economy is as bad as it is now, Here me and my husband are trying to provide for our family and we keep getting these scammers trying to steal the little bit that we have!!!! LETS SHUT THEM DOWN!!! ASAP!!!!

- curmudgeon55I get calls from this number or organization all the time saying my Windows computer needs service. Keep telling them I don't run Windows, I run Linux. When the call came in tonight, as soon as he started the "I'm from tech support ..." line I just laughed long and loud in his ear. He didn't like that. Claimed he was 90 years old with a broken hand and just barely able to help me. Sounded 19 if anything.
I told him the best way to help us both would be to take my number off his list and quit wasting our time.
For some reason he hung up on me. HA HA HA HA HA.
Maybe I should string him along next time, if there is a next time, see if I can trace back his IP address and do a little service work on his machine. Ah, I'd probably be the one to get into trouble for breaking into his machine. Maybe a honey pot for him to play in? That might be fun. If they are really running this from an Indian call room a computer full of nothing but pictures of naked women should cause a real stir.
btw, they probably have no personal information about you until you let them hack into your machine or you give it to them to get a new loan (except they'll be the ones taking out a loan with your info.) All they need to do is just call random numbers until they find someone naive enough to do what they want- Caller: Windows Tech Support(???)

- T| 1 replyThey are still calling from this number saying that they are calling from Windows and receiving lots of error reports about several viruses on my computer. Wanted me to type something in the URL but I told them that I was busy and would do it later. Also said that they got my number from their personal data base. They stressed the urgency of fixing my computer for free. Of course I didn't believe any of this and the gentleman I spoke with politely hung up.

- Jean-Simon replies to TThey called here as well telling me that my IP was used to steal money from a bank account and that was probably coming from a hacker. I told him to tell me what was my IP was and he could not answer. I wished him a good day and hung up.
- yorkieThey scammers are either morons or geniuses!
Just received 2 separate phone calls on our company number, with callers repeating the same speech - calling from MS, my computer sent an alert, etc...
The problem is - we are a computer support company, and when someone calls us, from phone system greeting message they can hear clearly what we do!!!
Phone calls came from 512-477-0300 and from 585-762-9912 - ShawnaMale stating he was from Windows and our computer needed attention. I let him know that we need nothing done to our computer and that they are not getting remote access (they have tried this before) and we are not due any kind of refund (which they have tried before as well). Needless to say he hung up, but they call regularly...
