This number and one similar keeps calling and hangs up if I answer or leaves no message.  

Just got a call from this number. All similar calls are coming from the 586 area code.

We never pick up calls that are unknown. Let them leave a message, then check caller ID. This number was identified as the caller. Voice was a foreign female and asked for my wife by name - said she was not selling anything. This is very odd because just today we have received 5 calls from a number in Los Angeles from someone with an Indian accent who claims his name is "Steve Martin". Says this is a second attempt to contact us and if we do not call his number back, we will face a magistrate or judge for contempt. Something to do with the treasury. This is nothing but a Bxxx Sxxx scam.

I keep receiving calls from 1-586-200-0157 Roseville MI.  They never say anything when I pick up.  I get these calls quite often

Just received a call from this number. Did not recognize, so did not attempt to answer. No message left. So aggravating. :(

Just got 3 calls from this number in less than 5 minutes.  No one there.

Telemarketer on a Sunday? Don't think so! This is nothing but a SCAM!

The caller left this message on our machine "My name is Nancy Perez."
Is that supposed to mean something to us?
Never answer an unfamiliar number. If it's legitimate, they leave an actual message.

Jacka$$ called us at 7:12 PM on a Sunday night.  CID said "Research Center".  So maybe a political survey?  The other reports indicate scammers.  Maybe the number is used by multiple groups, or the scammers are trying to fool people into answering by putting something "meaningful" on the CID.  Needless to say this call went unanswered and blocked for all eternity.

So we've got lots a posts here complaining about this "Research Center"....  WHO'S DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT?

Receive a call from this number just about the same time every day.  Usually let the call go to answering machine but they leave no message.  Picked up a couple of times and they hang up.  Where's the FCC when you need them?

I called back and got a message saying they were "Mountain West Research Center" and the contacted me to ask a survey. They also listed this website in their message. http://www.mwrcenter.com/

Caller ID said "Research Center"   When I answered (with my business name) I got the beep of a fax machine.

Caller ID said "Research Center".  I did not pick up and Caller left no message.

Be sure to report calls like this to www.donotcall.gov--I'm going to.

Received a call from "Mountain West research center" conducting a political survey. The person on the other side of the phone had a thick accent and was difficult to understand. The survey took over 10 minutes. They have a "do not call list" which you can be added to by emailing them:

I wouldn't have picked up but they came on voice mail asking for me by name.  I wound up doing their political survey.  This number is now on my do not pick up list.
