Calls, one beep, hangs up.... Very annoying.

Called us at 6:23pm ET and left message consisting of sighs and breathing as if they were put out that nobody picked up. ANNOYING. Adding to our call block list.

Calle ID said Research Center.  Added to call back device.  I've been bombarded with these research/survey calls lately.  I just let the phone ring, don't pick up, and then add to my blocking device.  I don't do surveys!

This annoying person has called our home TWICE in as many days, & we're on the National Do Not Call Registry! I've warned these individuals that when they call they've been reported & are subject to fines, etc., yet they don't seem to care...I've even had one dude laugh in my ear telling me "oh yes, I WILL call you back!" This one today, I told my husband to ignore when I saw the "586" area code on our phone's I.D., but my silly husband picked it up anyway...after saying "hello" a couple times with no response, I yanked the phone from him, saying that's what they're always like...no response, or someone with a thick eastern accent shouting "PRESS ONE...PRESS ONE!"

Got a call but no message was left.

Just received a call from this number.  It's 8:39 p.m. - don't they know how to tell time and they didn't even leave a message.  I will report them on the do not call list as my number is there.

Called at 7:50pm and knew my name.  When I said hello, no answer, just silence so I hung up

Called me a few minutes before 9 PM. I did not answer but did look here and 'surprise', another low life idiot calling.

The DNC list don't work but why the 'hey' don't the Consumer Protection clowns and the FCC get more involved. Seems to me if they put the telephone carriers on notice to police their own industry maybe the people who benefit from the phone line fees or loss of same would go to work.

Comcast, my carrier,  is about useless to talk to about the massive amount of unwanted calls but they will sell you extras to block extra numbers....Yea, riiiight.

They are calling twice or more times every single day, even Sundays as today 's day. Blocked and reported

I came here, saw they are jerks, and added them to my list of Spammers aka Do Not Answer. That's what we all need to do - NOT answer. If no one answers, they will eventually give up.

"Would you mind completing a survey? We are not trying to sell anything" I was like Nancy Regan and just said no.

Telemarketing? No response when we answer the phone but repeating calls spaced about 1/2 hr apart

I continuously get calls from this number between 8:30 and 9pm.  When I answer they just hang up. I call the number back to report the calls to a supervisor and there's an annoying recording that hangs up on me too. Such BS!!!

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Calls from RESEARCH CENTER unwanted. I am on national do not call list. Does not seem to matter.

Surveys are exempt from DNC restrictions.

The DNC list is intended to help stop calls originating from legitimate telemarketers.
* Your calls were not from legitimate telemarketers.
* Therefore, the DNC list will not stop those calls.

The DNC list does not automatically block calls.  Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate, registered telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.

The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities, and companies with preexisting business relationships, as well as debt collectors, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.  Just think ... if there were no DNC, you would be receiving incessant calls from BOTH legitimate and scam telemarketing callers!

If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense.  Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.
