- KimA man was on the line when I answered, he said hello again and asked for my mother (he used her name). Not recognizing the number and knowing we have been receiving a lot of unwanted calls from telemarketers or other people like that, I told the man he had the wrong number. I do believe that we had gotten a call from this number before. My parents are elderly and do not need to be harassed by any of those people!!!

- PaulaWoman with thick accent (India) said she was calling from Microsoft and asked how my computer was working. (Number was unknown ID) Very difficult to understand if she said "Microsoft", so I asked her again who she was. She said that she was calling from Microsoft and my computer is alerting them to many errors/messages and did not know why. Said that I will be having severe problems with my computer and most likely will ruin my computer if I don't take care of this and that is why she was calling. Knowing this was probably bogus, I told her I would get in touch with Microsoft on my own and check if I'm having any problems and not to call back.
- Caller: "Microsoft" according to foreign speaking woman
- MarkHad someone from "microsoft" calling about how my computer is working.
Really....they expect us to believe that Microsoft is going to be calling each person who has error messages on their computer?
Its Microsoft. OF COURSE we have errors.
Anyway.... Indian male accent. Unknown name and this number. - JackTold him I didn't have a computer and he called me a [***].

- Jabba the HootCalled, and left no message, except for some noise which sounded like a gorilla beating on it's chest, furiously.
I assumed it was King Kong soliciting for free bananas, so I deleted the message and number, since I'm not very fond of Apes anyway....**snicker**- Call type: Telemarketer
- ACalled my house asking for a women I have never heard of. I say wrong number, and the man with the very deep Indian voice says oh with I'm from BLAH BLAH BLAH and I'm calling because your computer is having serious problems and in the future it will not work. And that i needed to get on and send them a message. Coincidentally i was on my computer but I told I was going out to call back and he insisted on having an exact time he should call me back. He's calling 2mm at one, I will make sure he gets an ear full.

- MjhI received a call from a guy named Mathew from Microsoft asking if I was having problems with my computer .I told him no and he went on saying that I did. I asked for his number so I could call him back and he gave me a different # than the one on my caller ID which is 1-888-572-2914 and his extention was 8010. I googled the # and a web site from microsoft technician was linked to this #. I then googled the number that was on my Caller ID and saw this site. Just letting you know that they use lots of different numbers for there scam. I think that they are responsible for the problems that we incur on our computers by somehow hacking into them. I recently changed to a different service and had problems with the hook up, someone from that co. helped fix the problem by going on my computer from there computer ( after I gave permission for them to do it) to correct the problem, not long after that and my computer was acting up. Makes me think now that allowing these technicians to help is a bad idea. I trusted the company because it was well established.
- scam-inatorcall came in today from this (596-611-3303) number. they left no message.
if i had answered someone who tried to tell me my computer was not working correctly, i have a script. i say computer is my daughters, and i am uncertain how to check <whatever they say is wrong>. it usually takes me about 5 minutes just to get logged on (wink wink). i keep asking them to repeat things because 'i don't understand'. i throw in occasional 'oh damn, the computer just crashed', or 'that isnt what i see when i do <whatever instruction they give me>. so far my record for keeping these guys busy without goiving any correct info is 47 min. yes, i actually keep a record. if they want a cc number, i change a few numbers from a couple expired cards i keep around. i figure if i waste enough of their time, they lose money. i get cheap thrills as they get angrier and mor frustrated. if they have a heavy accent - even better, becaus i can say 'what was that i didnt understand..... - CathyYeah. I got a call too. They said my computer has errors that even the local computer shop isn't aware of. I hung up on the guy.
- Caller: They said Microsoft
- JnTotal scam (just Google them). They lied and said they're with "Windows," first, until I challenged that with a sarcastic, 'REALLY, soooo you're with Microsoft???'
He said, "no, but, we got your computer ID and phone # from Microsoft because your registry is all messed up."
I won't bore you with more but he had a heavy Indian accent and attempted to dodge my direct questions by responding with, "so, you don't want to fix your computer?"
Eventually, I got him to repeat after me, 'I want to be taken off your cal list,' and then he hung up on me.
Not that I have any real hope of that actually happening.- Caller: Comtech 24/7

- KKReceived a call from this 596-611-3303. This is the second time I have taken a call from them. This time I asked him questions about where the company was located, what system am I running if you see errors. I told him I know this is a scam and that I am going to seek legal counsel. His response "I know your address and I will f%$k your happiness". This was a male caller named Sean and Indian.

"You said I have 'A' computer didn't you?" "Which computer, I have several." Then we did the whole "Microsoft" playlist as described by others on this blog.
I took their time, as much as I could. Then hung up.- Caller: texdot? techspot? Indian accent
