600-233-1234

This "person" calls multiple times a day. I don't pick it up ever.. and won't. No message is left. 600 area code is Canadian but I am USA.

I also received a call from 600-233-1234 and they did not leave a message either.

received call when I pick up thet say they are from the IRS and want
to give me $2,000.00 all they need is my bank account info.

Watch out for these people.

Called at 10:17pm, 2:22am and 6:15am.  It is a recording about mortgage rate reduction that says to press 1 for more information.  I pressed 1 as I was furious about the middle of the night calls and no one answered.  Tried to call the number back but it says not valid.

Got a call at 1:30am and at 4:30am - crazy! I didn't listen the message until the very end. Tried to call back - the recorded voice said that the number or the area code were wrong.

Just got call from this number, picked up, got taped message about opportunity to refinance home. Guess IRS scam wasn't enough for these folks. Interestingly, got two calls today from 410-256-8282, with live telemarketers pitching refinancing. (These folks, with Indian accents, have been calling me from different numbers for months and won't stop, even after I tell them I've already refinanced and am not interested.)

"John" called my cell phone from India, pitching loan modifications through 21st Century Legal Services in Rancho Cucamonga, CA I've told 21st C not to call but they don't get it. Then second call 1-600-233-1234. First call was +6002331234. Refused to give actual address. Denies recording the call.

Receive multiple of these calls on my work line every day.  Never pick up or answer.  Need to stop them...any ideas?

I ignored the call. No message was left.

caller to request validation for Visa for security purposes.
a man with a foreign accent called, only identified himself as part of visa for security check.
He asked when and if I am still receiving credit card bank statements at current address, also
requested credit card number and expiration date to validate. said credit card starts with xx (but found out later that all cards start with these numbers.)
I asked for a phone number to call them back and they said they would call me back instead. And they did and I told them I do not give out this info and he said ok, thank you very much, have a good day. and hung up.

I called Visa and they said this may be a fraud. DO NOT give credit card info. You should then call your credit card company to inform them that your card may have been compromised.

Watch out for any calls claiming to be from Banks or other and requesting personal information. Always request a number that you can call them back.

Keep getting these phone call from 1 600 233 1234 they never leave a message. I picked up to day and a lady with a accent said you pay to much taxes in Canada.over 30 % and she said at no cost she could get the money back for me. she wanted some info from me ,I said I dont recall any call from you before and she said her associate had talked to me. she started to give me my address and area code.I told her I was through and hung up..  HOW DO THEY GET THIS INFO.

Same story as M. on 25 Jul 2009: supposedly calling to confirm VISA information.  BEWARE!  This is not valid.

This caller says he is with sunlife and wants information about our finances .Just hang up. vrery rude & aggresive

Received several calls where no one speaks, just music playing.

Called this afternoon saying they were from Platinum holidays wanting to give me a 7 day voucher for any place in the world.  I said no thank you and they called back immediatly to ask why i hung up.  i asked him not to call back and hung up again.  He immediatly called back I asked him again not to call again and he did AGAIN!!!  He was VERY aggressive and rude and spoke very little english.

Similiar to Emily on 8 Dec 2009.  Bad accent rude...  Said he was calling
RE =  An emergency in Shrilanca.  I was the contact...  Right.  Told him where to go and blocked his number.

I'm getting the Sri Lanka calls too..gee, why don't they go there or call there and get off my phone? Can't anybody stop them?

Just received a call from this number...no message left...don't pick up unless I know who it is.  had plenty of harrassing calls in the past.

Just got a call from "Raven", a fellow with an Indian-like accent, from this number. Went on about how I qualify for this low long-distance rate plan because I pay my taxes (um, ok?). Became extremely rude when I told him he shouldn't have called me since I'm on the do not call list. He insisted I give him my DNC registration number (which doesn't exist) to verify this. He basically told me, impolitely and aggressively, that I should listen to him because it was impolite not to so when someone is calling with a good deal. Then he hung up on me. Brilliant.
