They called this morning. Why the heck are they early morning calling someone they don't know in Ontario from Mississippi?

have called 3 times in a row this morning, they dont answer....  307-217-6823 also called inbetween these calls to. Ya.

Called at 5:44 AM!!! No one there

I know they say the elderly are usually early risers, but this elder was totally miffed when a call at 5:06 am this morning got her up (thinking it was an emergency call as I am a first responder for emergencies) and did not say anything at the other end.  I am totally frustrated with this action and whish there was something we could do about it.  This is bullying, harrassement and annoying.grrrrr!

calls un wanted

got a call from this number today at 12;20pm.   just one ring. i called it back within a couple of minutes and there was an outbound message saying the number has been disconnected please check the number and dial again. since disconnected numbers cant make calls, i have to assume the message was not from the phone company but rather from the owners of the number using a fake outbound message.

Called me in the Vancouver area a few minutes ago.  No one at the other end.  This is likely a company from overseas using Voip and also providing a fake outbound caller ID.   Maybe they are trying to create a log of numbers that answer for use later.

I just for a call from this number - no one on the line.  Here's a theory:  I have an "800" number - I get charged for calls coming in - what if it is the phone company that I am buying my 800 line from - just to bump up their bill??

Just got a call from this number, I am in Ontario.  Nobody on the line.

They're still at it and it's not just Canada--got a call to my business line in Wyoming at 3:51 Sunday afternoon.  Worrisome.  If they didn't have a reason, they wouldn't do it--and it's likely not good!

Just got the call as well. Didn't leave a message.

Called me at 8:45 Sunday evening. I didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number...they did not leave a message. Couldn't have been too important.

Have gotten frequent calls from this number and usually don't answer since we don't recognize the number & they never leave a message. This time they called at 6:40am. No one there and then disconnected. Like other comments, when I called the number there was a message that it is disconnected. I'm now blocking this number, but wish to know what else can be done to these kinds of calls. I think they are physhing, but for what is the concerning question.
