When I take the call there is never anyone on the line . There is no noice, no one speaks and after about 15 seconds they hang up. The last time they called at 9:15 pm.

Automated phone phisher. Once you pick up, your phone is in their database and multiple calls will follow from other numbers. remember, anyone who calls you are scammers.there are NO reputable company now that calls you any more. I worked in telemarketing for 20 years. Only scammers using phone as it's the only way to hide.

They just called me.  No one on the line and silence for about 20 seconds.  I called back and the number apparently is 'not in use'.

How do I make them stop or at least file a complaint with someone? Called @ 5:15 am on a Saturday! That has got to be against some kind of law?!?!?! JERKS!!!

601-990-5520 called at 10:40 am Saturday January 10 2015. No voice, no noise. The call was received in the Province of Quebec, Canada.

Called BC Jan10/15 at 12:12 PM.
Same BS - answer and no one is there.

Call at 10:15 pm Sunday 1/11/15. No one spoke when I answered the call.  Called back at 10:18 pm. No one talking on the line. This is not the phone number of anyone I know and it is definitely too late to be calling if it was a sales call.

Maybe it's time for a nice class action lawsuit against the phone carrier. Say 10,000 damages per call. This may get there attention to take action. They no doubt have the ability to track and block these call very quickly.

Called at 10:17pm 02-06-2015 est. I didn't answer the phone.

It's a dialer. This should be illegal.  They change the phone number every week and use a new one.  I've reported the dialer numbers, but nothing ever happens.  Phone company can't seem to do anything about it.  Same experience that everyone else had, pick up and no one answers.  When you call back, it says number is no longer in service.  I can't believe they keep getting away with this.

The caller ID says this person is from Brookhaven, MA.  I have friends in that state, so I answered.  No one there.  I have blocked this phone number.

Received a call from 1-601-990-5520.  CID was 'Brookhaven MS'.  I gave it the old one ring pickup and immediate hang up. Blocked that number.

Jeremy whether you actually did telemarketing for 20-yrs., my goodness, what were you thinking? However, I do agree with your post and their mindset. We never answer or respond to any number we don't instantly recognize. Everything dumps into voice jail, and of course 99.9999% of the time, no messages are ever left.

Cynthia:  robo-calling especially thru unlimited cell phones (although this appears to be a landline), often with spoofed numbers, is about as hideous and nefarious and evil as they can get. The so-called D.N.C.-lists are a joke, too.

Everything is upside-down. Right is wrong, wrong is upheld as good. As far as I'm concerned government should absolutely crack-down on dirtbag telemarketers. They are the barnacles of society, leeching off our productive times.

Assuming you have voice-jail, just let everything dump into there. Don't be so phone-happy you have to take every call. If it's important, from someone worthy, they will leave a message worthy of your consideration. I realize it eats at your clock, but you'll be less stressed and frustrated than hopping on the phone with every j.e.r.k.o.f.f. at the other end. Hope this helps console you.

Ya know, until you mentioned it, I never gave it much thought.  But I think you're correct.  As I think about it, I can't remember that last time a legit telemarket call came into my phone.
