Annoyed (max) - 25 Mar 2007I've been getting these calls for 3 weeks. I called twice back, first time I got a message that the mail box is full. Second time, I got a busy signal.

lsoaz - 4 May 2008I was called this morning by 520-623-8002, but they hung up before I could answer. When I tried calling back to see who it was, it turned out to be Arizona PAL, according to their message.
I received this call on a 2nd landline I just had installed, and the do-not-call directive may not yet be in effect. Checking my records of annoying calls I have received, I have not made note of them. I do seem to recall speaking directly to them and I think instead of noting the do-not-call list, I was intimidated by the police-association that I heard? I will have to be more forceful in the future, but if they are in violation of DNC, then I would want to know that, since I have received calls on my already-long-established DNC number.

Research Further - 19 Oct 2007I called the number you listed for AZ PAL and spoke to Mr. Bastten himself. The 602-254-2994 has been traced back to a pay phone. The harassing calls are being investigated and are fradulent. All we can do is file a complaint with the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY and with your local police department. That is all we can do from this point. I have caller ID and do not pick up any calls from this number.

donotcallme - 29 Dec 2007I got a call from 602-254-2994 this afternoon - the woman said she was with PALS and wanted to know if they could send me information and if I would make a donation. I told her my number was unlisted, and that I was on the do not call registry. She said that did not apply to them because they weren't selling anything. I told her I was not interested and to remove my number from their list.

Now, it's my turn. - 11 Apr 2007This is an alleged charity called Arizona PAL (Police athletic league). So far, my search has lead me to the Navajo reservation in Window Rock Arizona. The area code in Window Rock is 928. I believe the 602 calls are from a call center in Phoenix. Believe me, when I get a real phone number, I will post it here.

I listened to their spiel about my donations being vital toward keeping kids off of drugs and particularly helping them when they get released from Juvenile to not "return to their life of crime," but nicely told them that a) I was busy, b)I wasn't falling for the "save kids from drugs by giving us money" nonsense, and c) not to bother me anymore.
Guess what? The guy calls back 15 or 20 times in a row - most of them hang-ups after I answer. When I got another one at random a few minutes ago, I got his voice mailbox saying "Arizona PAL," and instantly recognized his voice.
Something tells me there's some major illegal scammie stuff going on by a major nutball there! I know - maybe if we all give him lots of money, he will go away. Retire to the beach in the Cayman Islands or something. Either that, or we could send him to Prison and support him for the rest of his life that way - hey, it's only $45,000 a year per prisoner. Besides, he'd probably get more dates in prison, so that would be nice.

Naty - 29 May 2007I just got this phone call an half an hour ago. i wasnt really paying atention to it.But then i heard them say POLICE...and than i actually was paying attention.They asked me if i was okay...and i was thinking in my head why would they ask me this question..."Also they asked if my parents were home but they werent....i freaked and called my mom and told her about it.We called the number back and it said that the mail box was full...we called the police but they didnt help us ether..I was so scarred.I hope they wont call back!!!
