- EM| 1 replyThat is why I choose not to do an interview with Cooley Agency- according to the California Reg of Contractor - The owner of Cooley Agency contractor license (Heating and Cooling) recently expired in 2011. Plus the Insurance License recently issued in Arizona for the owner of Cooley Agency - under his personal name. I just do not know what to think after reading the USA Today article. It appears this might be a telemarketing center - or code call business for leads. The owner of Cooley Agency may want to explain on this website - how long he has owned the Cooley Agency or took it over. I also believe that the lady set up interview for Cooley Agency -was his wife.

- bitnspurApparently they don't give up easily. I got a call from them yesterday with an interview offer for Friday. I was driving at the time and didn't get everything she said, but it did sound suspicious. When I didn't have anything to write down the address with I told "Krista" to call back and leave the information on my voicemail. When I got home and checked it the address didn't sound familiar for my area. I put the address into google to see where it was and this site came up. I'm debating now whether to call back and tell them what I think of them or just not show up. It's well over 100 miles away from me and not at all the job category I applied for.

- Zena| 1 replyGood thing I investigated this. When I was 1st laid off I was flooded with e-mails from insurance and investment companies that "found my resume on one of the job posting sites". My resume has nothing to do with insurance, finance, customer service, or telemarketing. This is the 1st live call of the sort that I received. My story is the same as the others who responded here. Interview for the next morning for customer service explaining benefits to union members. I read the other statements posted here and I decided to save my gas $ for more productive job search efforts. Also this influenced me.
http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/busi ... job-offers.html. - aria602I got a call from these people today setting me up for an interview. I'm out of work so agreed to go. Thankfully I googled the address and found this website! I sooo would not be wasting my time nor gas money to go down there.
- Mr. Smart| 4 repliesHey guys, this place is a scam they hire anyone and right after they hire you they ask for $150 for training. Any job thats legit will give you free training. I will be contacting the FBI on these people. They are getting people hopes up of work and these people will never see money. I notice something funny about them when i went up there and it was like 30 other people up there. Then i look on their wall its just pictures of them not no other workers. Now if this suppose to be a big company then why not have your workers on their to. You can tell something funny is going on in there its on there face. The lady at the front desk seems to know its wrong but hey shes getting paid as a cover up. We must all put this company on blast. Im even call the news station about this, this place was close down in 2011 so the guy changes the company name to his name. Any real job will tell 100's of people they are hire at once. Its not enough money to go around for that, they dont even have thier own building. This is scary and sad what people are doing to others own American's. They tell you they will train you but they dont tell u once u get the license they wont give u work or people to contact sell insurance to. Its all on you. But this is what really got me, they call people back who is in need of money. Like they call people back who usually wouldnt get call back like me. Just being real i have a felony for Arm bank robbery and i put that down, not once did Corey Neff ask me about that felony and it was right in front of his face. Thats signs of a scam! What company dont bring that up at all even tho its right in their face on paper? Funny business.

- vanessa| 1 replyThank you everyone for your comments. I received a call today but it was from an out of state number 818-588-2773. The person on the phone said they were with Brandon Cooley Agency and they were looking to hire for a variety of jobs due to the company expanding. I asked if this was for a call center and was told there are some sales jobs but also customer service. I knew something wasnt right by the caller dodging my questions. Im happy this information popped up when I did a search on the address so again thank you all you saved me from wasting my time and gas.

- ShannonI just received a phone call from this number today, I spoke to Lilian who asked if I was still interested in a full time position, I said yes, she then proceeded to set me up for an interview tomorrow at 10:30 am with their GM Jared. She gave me the address told me to bring a copy of my resume and where to park. I've only ben out of a job for three days so naturally I'm excited that I got an interview so quickly but now after reading your comments, I'm not sure what to do.
- JennaI just received a call an hour and half ago about a full time position in "Management" she went on to explain that after I told her I had no experience that "well sonething in your resume caught her eye" The lady that called went by the name of Sarah and I was to interview with Maria. She gave a different number than the one listed 6023694337. She set me up with an interview for Tues at 130 at the address listed. Thank you everyone who posted, I will not be wasting my time.

- no excuses replies to ex employee| 8 repliesIt is amazing to me that every complaint and concern on this blog is from people supposedly looking for employment. this is an industry where people can actually pave their own way to success. with this company is provided with training and the resources to do so. i will be the first to tell you that it is not an easy profession. it takes actuall hard work, which no matter how much you want to lie to yourself about the subject, people in general are still trying to find some magically carrer that they can make a substantial income and not have to put in any effort to do so..... little bit of advice.... it doesnt exist. the most successful people in this company come from all sorts of backgrounds, and this comapny gives an opportunity to those that portray that they will work. it is so much easier to blog something negative about a company and put it off on someone else rather than to look at yourself and your own "bad luck" that you don't have a job. how bout this... stop feeding yourself and others a bunch of excuses of why you are not successful. as far as the licensing requirements to become an insurance professional.... how in your right mind do you consider that a scam??? tomorrow try going to a real estate company and apply to be a real estate agent, but be sure to say on you're application that they are a scam if they dont pay for you to obtain your real estate license to work there. if you are planning to come in for an interview, feel that you have good communication skills, and are willling to work hard, this could be a great opportunity. if i not i completely understand..... "the world needs plenty of bartenders". don't bash a company for trying to give you an opportunity..... keep waiting for that positon that your are so obviously so entintled to..... good luck
- no excuses replies to no excuseslol... so excited about this, really should have spell checked.... you get the idea....
- A. Nonie Mouse replies to no excuses| 2 repliesAre you the owner of this phone number? You sure sound like you are.
- no excuse replies to A. Nonie Mouse| 1 replyno i am not, i do work there though, and have successfully for over 4 years... i must be the lucky one huh?
- I'll second that| 2 repliesNo Excuses, makes excellent points. I too was called because I posted my resume online and was looking for a change. Had I not gotten a call and had I not wanted interview practice, I honestly would have never realized what a great opportunity American Income & Brandon Cooley have to offer. This job by all means is a lot of hard work and is not for everyone! However, I must mention the rewards for your hard work are endless. You're helping so many families with the strike and layoff waivers, the food banks for out of work families, the donations, the claim payouts when families are going through some of the hardest times of their lives. Not to mention when you're in a management role and you help to train a new agent how to protect and serve and in turn are providing for their loved ones. Everyone at the office works together and is like one gigantic family all with the same cause to protect families and try to reduce Arizona's terrible statistics at being ranked #1 in the nation for Child Abduction!
As far as the licensing confusion from the Republic or these really old posts sounds like there is some confusion between the two companies Brandon Cooley owned or was contracted by. That just doesn't make sense at all. Of course he would not keep up a heating and cooling contractors license from California if he wasn't running that company anymore. And there is NO WAY our company who is accredited by the Better Business Bureau and rated A+ Superior by A.M. Best one of the oldest financial ratings company's would ever let Brandon work for us if he did not have a valid insurance license. In fact, he would be terminated. They are sticklers on licensing (not only the company but the Department of Insurance as well). We take what we do seriously on all levels, from the entry level position on up to the CEO.
The economy is tough, I realize this. There is no harm going into any company for an interview. No one is forcing you to accept the position, and worst case you get some interview experience! You should want to stay sharp for the next great opportunity! Good luck all you job seekers! Put your time to better use by applying for careers and going to those interviews! (I'll talk to the girls and ask them to speak more slowly and concisely and to provide more information about our company. If you would have come into the interview you would have gotten plenty of information!)- Caller: American Income Life
- A. Nonie Mouse replies to no excuseI'm perfectly happy in my own profession, and those for whom I work are happy to have me working for them. I get requests from recruiters all the time to switch jobs, but have no interest in changing jobs, and I have no interest in working for your company even if I were interested in changing jobs.
Folks, the experience you get from this company may be quite legal and legitimate -- I can't say one way or the other, because I just don't know. But it *is* your choice whether you want to have this experience. Use your best judgment. - TarazOn behalf of everyone relying on public computers to look for work, I would like to remind our callers that this is insulting and degrading.
- Not impressedWow, these guys had me just interested in coming in to an interview tomorrow.... Even if they were legit, their name is tainted with bad reviews and harassing history. I'm gonna keep myself away from them. What the hell is wrong with people?! Damn quick buck network marketing schemes. People need real jobs, not dumb little gimmicks and quotes from the main [***] in charge of a soon to be nothing scam.
