A man by the name of Rey de Paola from the law firm of Joe Pezzulo, Phoenix, Arizona keeps calling our house, business, and other members of the family wanting to speak to my husband.  He keeps looking for an Elva Rodriguez.  We have told him that we do not know that person.  He called our business and harassed some of our employees.  He is very sarcastic.  How do we know if he calling from a legitimate law firm (602-274-9911) when this same number he is calling from is listed by you as Suspicious.  We are afaid since he seems to know so much about our family history (names, phone numbers, addresses, etc.)

I have also received calls from this man at this number. I too would like to know if this is legit because there is no reason I should be getting calls from a law firm.

They are calling me too.  They are trying to collect a debt for Bank of America.

they are calling about  a debt. rathen then have my wages garnished i decided to work with them. they were very approachable and reasonable. i worked it out with the rep and now i am debt free. it feels good to get the monkey off my back. they even let me pay less then what i owed.

its about a debt. i made arrangements and didnt have any issues.

i settled my debt for less then what was owed.  i had no problems with them.

They were just sued in federal court 11-14-07 for unfair collection practices. This is a scummy, very rude, very harrassive - will call everyone in the phone book with your last name company. They have been sued by state AG's and so has one of their customers Arrow Financial Services - they are the bottom of the barrel from what I read. Don't avoid them, challenge them - you'll win.

We bought a new construction house a year ago and received a phone number which apparently belonged to a girl who did not pay her debts in a timely manner. I have received dozens of phone calls for her. The "wonderful suggestion" which I recieved from the debt collector calling from this number was that we should chnage our home number if we don't want to receive the calls. That is not so easy when one considers this is the number on our professinal, medical, and childcare records.
These people have no class, no manners, and no sense. Obviously the person you are looking for is not here, so stop calling!

I forgot to mention that he hung up on me twice and yelled at me when I asked him not to call back. Good luck collecting money with those manners! Get a real job, preferably one where you don't interact with people or need social skills!

I received a call from a woman who ask me if I know my neighbors. Then she called out my first and last name. When I ask her who she was, the woman said "Thank You" and hung up. I called the number back(602 274-9911) and a man answer the phone. This gentleman stated he is a law firm out of Phoenix, Arizona and would not give me any other information. Who are these people? How did they get my personal information? Why are they calling my resident looking for other people?

My employer from over 15 years ago when I was a teenager (my first job) received 2 calls from Joe pezzuto law firm from a guy who said he was jay birdwell (debt collectors do not use their real names in order to be protected from retaliation)He asked for me and when my old boss said I did not work there, they asked for my parents phone number and said they needed to contact my parents. (luckily she called me and gave me the info)I called them back and they told me they wanted to reach me because i was listed as a potential relative of Debbi (who was actually my step-mother). I told the man I am an investigator for the state of pa (which I am) and that he is violating law by contacting ME and MY former employers for personal information. He claimed he was not in violation and I told him the proof I had of his violations and that I would take their ass to court if I find out that he ever contacts me or any former employer linked to my name again and he hung up on me.

this number has called my husband, my parents, and my SISTER supposedly looking for my husband.  My sister and I have not had the same last name in over 15 years (as we are both married.)
There are a million practices out there that work this way, but it is SCARY how they could track someone with the same name as my husband all the way to my sister's home phone number.

Got a call a few minutes ago from Joe Pezutto's office, and they said to call back 866-826-4101 ext 216, This is the 1st call, but I'm sure therE are many more to come.My ex husband racked up $20,000 on my bank of America Credit card after he added himself to it.It sucks because I'm also an employee of Bank of America, but I for DAMN sure am not going to pay HIS debt! I'll ignore Joe Pezutto's calls like I ignored BofA's for the last 6 months, I would rather claim Bankruptcy, he's already ruined my once perfect credit.

These guys have been calling me for months about a credit card that I got when I was 18.  The amount that they want is a measily $1400.  The guy I talked to started the call off with saying that the caller ID was different than usual which was probably why I answered.  He threatened to sue me when I told him that I have no intention of paying the bill, as I have been out of work for about 4 years.  I also asked them to stop calling, and his response was "mam I would think about hiring a lawyer."  What kind of BS is this?  I'm not stupid, becuase I live in Tx and they are in AZ, they would have to come all the way over here to do anything about it according to TX laws, not to mention they wouldnt be able to force me to pay anything under TX law either...and really, its such a little debt it would cost them more to try to get it then what I owe them anyway. This is a high pressure scare the [***] out of you collection agency and they are full of it!

These jerks have no manners. They have been harassing me for months now. They have called family, my work, and have not cared about who they tell my personal information to. I am sick of it. If they keep calling my work I will get fired and they will never get their money. They want unreasonable payments. We just cannot do it right now. Leave us alone!!!!!!
