this number has been calling me lately and when you say hello there is nothing .. I want to know who this is

It's Teleport Communications Group. I am guessing it's a sales call.

Keeps calling 7-8 times a day.  Never leaves a message

Called twice today. Annoying.

They call me at the very least 6 times a day!!  I ignore the calls but obviously they can't take a frickin hint!!! Ugh!!!!!!!!!

OK I finally talked to the people who are calling from this number. It was SMC trying to sell a membership. I did request info from their infomercial the other day so I guess this was a sales pressure call. Did anyone else here call SMC? Also I am not sure if was actually SMC but might be just a telemarketer company hired by SMC.

Yes, I also requested info from SMC, which arrived in the mail last week.  The calls started today!

YES, it's SMC with the old guy from HAPPY DAYS TV show. SMC tries to get people to buy cheap junk and resell it for crazy prices. This is an example of how crooked SMC is. Everyone who gets these calls just applied online or gave someone from SMC the phone number. The calls will continue until you tell them to stop calling you.

Do like I do, just dont answer until till you make up your mind what you want to do. I think they have some good products I just got a call today, but wont tolerate it, I am the type to have them blocked!

Calls and asks for Marsha, told them no Marsha here.  Asked thme to take me off their call list, said ok, but still receiving calls.  Called the main number and left a message threatening legal action, no use.

This number calls several times a day and when I try to answer the phone to tell them to stop calling, they hang up thinking that it is the answering machine.  I would really like for them to stop calling me!  Even if I did go to their web site and request information, they need to leave and message for a return call and if they don't get a response then they need to take the hint that I'm no longer interested in what they have to offer and stop calling.

ok this is what happened to me. i did request info from smc. i have never picked up their call. they call like 20 times a day. i answered my phone today and they asked for (bryan) even though that is my name i said they had the wrong number and he wouldn't take no as an answer. he starts yelling at me saying he knows that he has the right number and he says cause i just called this number and talked to bryan. since i would know if i talked to him before, which i never did. what a scam business and a bunch of [***]!!

The number (602)308-2700 is SMC. I know because I went to their website and requested info and now I can't get them to stop calling me.  I made it very clear that I don't want a membership. I asked them to place my number on their "do not call list" yet I still receive calls.  If anyone knows the corporate address, PLEASE respond.

Here is what we can do from a legal perspective:  You must inform SMC to place you on the "do not call list".  If you still receive calls, keep the phone records!  Under the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), we have the right to sue for $500.00/violation. This claim can be filed in small claims court.  This may be drastic but necessary.

Their calling my VoIP number.  I setup my config to forward the calls back to them, hopefully the number is a rotary line.  Hopefully they'll enjoy the calls as much as I do.

SMC Corp - can also be reached at 800-345-4762.  Web site given http://smcsupport.smcorp.com ?  Haven't checked it, but they call my cell 8 - 10 times a day and do not leave messages.  I have reported them to donotcall.gov because my number is registered.  I have taken it upon myself whenever I have a moment, like restroom time, to call them and go through the rigamorole of getting a live person.  It costs them money to make and receive calls, so I have fun.  Ask for SEAMONKIES!

I received a phone call at work from 602-308-2700.  I called the number back and left a message with Andrea M. and requested that they investigate why I am receiving these phone calls as I placed my work number on the national Do Not Call list.
