- LisaCalled, asking for the company president by his first name, no last name, like they were friends. When I asked about taking a message, I got this number, plus she said she was from "Merchant Services".
- Caller: "Merchant Services"
- The guy who called youIf you would have listened to me you would have known why we were calling. You can't rebuttle ignorance.
- Caller: merchant services
- Caughtya5/21/09: calls from guy named Clinton claiming to be with "Merchant Services" although I swear he said "your" merchant services - wanted only to speak with owner even though I told him I personally am in charge of the merchant card processing. When I tried to clarify if he said he was "our" merchant card processor or just a person calling to sell merchant services, he rudely told me he could only state that he urgently needed to discuss our merchant services processing with the owner - his number to call back was 602-385-7250 x113...I don't suggest call them since I have not received anything in writing from our actual merchant services provider.

- DbachThese guys are calling ALL the time. Interesting tactics now being used. I got a little short with one of the callers and finally said "No thank you - goodbye" and he called back still claiming to need to talk with me. Sounds legit, right?
I called my real merchant services provider and told them about the phone call - they said it's a scam and that they have NOTHING to do with the calls.
I've got to tactics to get rid of these guys:
1) tell them you only accept information related to your merchant account in writing - Or -
2) tell them you don't have a merchant account and you don't know why they are calling.
I'm hoping #2 works, I' getting tired of the calls......- Caller: "Merchant Services"

- BankerByDayI've had 3 of my merchant clients receive calls from these people. They claim to be from Aurum Financial which is a business in the United Kingdom. They are very insistent that they only speak with the president or the owner of the business. We have reported this information to our processing center and they are opening a case. If you get these calls please contact your merchant services provider and give them as much information as you can.
- Caller: Aurum Financial
- DonnaWe just got a call from this number ex.107. His name was Andrew and he insisted that the owner called him back. I told him it was a SCAM and he claimed no and again said to give # to boss even after telling him I handled all such.
Guess they are not going away!
Donna - kbWe keep getting calls from this number claiming to be about an important banking procedure change regarding Credit Card processing Very persistant. When I returned the call he went into an "upgrade" conversation & attempted to tape me. He was very argumentative with me when I tried to get information. x 109

- tiredofitReceived a call claiming to be with "my" merchant services, telling me I'm eligible to lower my rate. Smelled like a scam. Asked him the business name - gave me Orem Financial (not sure of sp) He wasn't rude, just felt oily.
- Caller: Orem Financial
- DonnaI received a call today from Paul Fitze saying he was with Merchant Services from 602-385-7250, ext. 109. He said the account had been flagged and needed to talk to the owner. He asked for the owner by his first name. I told him I handled these matters. He told me he could ohly talk to the owner, since his name was the only name on the original application. His information was incorrect, because I personally filled out all the paperwork and the owner has his legal name on it, not his nickname. I am tried of these people calling and pretending like they know who the owner of the business is and have no clue.
- Caller: Did not come up
- LisaSame thing as Donna; Paul (no last name) from "Merchant Services", gave me his number: 602-385-7250 x 109. I asked if I could help as I set up and maintain our account; he was very nice, but said he needed to speak to the legal owner. Needless to say, I will not be passing on the message to return his call!

- InnaGot a call from Brandon ext. 103. I had an e-mail from my assistant to call this person back and I have no idea why, but it felt funny. I googled the number before calling back and found this thread. We do not even have a merchant account. They will not be getting a call back for sure!
- LisaI received a call from "Andrew", 602-385-7250 x107. He said he was calling from the "Notification Deptartment" and said my merchant account had been flagged. I asked him what the name if his company was and he rattled off some long name (National Department of blah blah blah, merchant services division).
I told him that our merchant account company informs us of any issues/changes directly. He said that I didn't understand, and that he was from the notifications dept. Again I asked what company he was with and then he said Orem Financial (sp?), which was a different name than he gave me the first time I asked. I called him out on it and he became very irritable after that.
It seems as though I have been getted a lot of calls lately from similar companies talking about my merchant account. One of which is Capital Processing, who calls from a different phone number. I wonder if they are all related some how...- Caller: Orem Financial

- FYII just looked up Aurum Financial on google and got this information.
8027 N Black Canyon Hwy, Phoenix, AZ
(480) 385-2268
I tried calling this phone number and reached a young man's cell phone. He said that he has been getting calls from a strange number everyday since he got his new phone about a week ago. It was just a string of digits on his caller id when I called him (something like 167171777). That wasn't at all the number I was calling from and I had never called before. I asked him if his number was 480-385-2268. He said no, and said what his phone number was. Apparently when you call that phone number listed for Aurum Financial it must forward to this man's cell phone somehow.- Caller: Aurum Financial

- KayBeeThey called me and asked credit card fee statements and say they will save me 40 to 70 % in fees. I asked them to see their website and the rates they are offering. He insisted on meeting face to face and I refused, I know you can't get very low rate that average 1.72% credit card processing rate. They are hunting for your business and take you for a ride.

- Honest merchant service agent in Phoenix| 1 replyThank you to everyone who took the time to post the horror stories related to this telephone number and/or 602-773-5475. Both appear to
be boiler rooms pretending to be YOUR current merchant service company.
Overall promise is to qualify you for WHOLESALE pricing, tier 2, 30-60% savings, etc. when it is an entire scam. If anyone receives multiple calls from a company called ICON (or IPS), or Jon Cannon, report it here but do NOT schedule an appointment. The Attorney General and police dept have been notified of their equipment leasing and document alteration scam. Only deal with a person / company you KNOW is honest and one you can check references on.- Caller: Merchant Services

- LFJust found this thread and thought I should post my story since it appears to be related. Received a phone call on my cell this morning from a different number 623-748-0342-same scenario-claiming he was from merchant services-he was rude and very persistant-refused to take no for an answer. He would not say which credit card he was calling about and appeared to be phishing. This phone number is based out of AZ. I live on the East Coast-the first phone call came in around 9am east coast time. These calls are not coming from a legit company. The tactics they seem to use are designed to get you so rattled that you think that your credit card accounts have been compromised and it's "urgent" well they contacted the wrong person this morning. Nice try SCAMMERS.
- Caller: claiming to be Merchant Services
- sandyADD THIS SCAMMER TO YOUR 'BLOCKED CALLER" LIST IMMEDIATELY. I used to get calls from them about 2-3 times per week.I finally added a blocking feature to my business phone, at $6.00 per month. THEY ALSO USE THE NUMBER 623-748-0884. SAME GROUP,SAME STORY, SAME BS
- sandy replies to Sick of their callsadd a "block caller" feature to your phone. I did this through the phone company. It costs about $5-6.00 a month, but well worth it to me. I have since added several other solicitor's numbers to the list!
