Yes, I've been getting calls from numbers with that area code and prefix, including this one, for a while. I just found out that if you call the number back, you can enter your number and they say they'll remove you from their list. Not sure if this is true, but offers hope.
Okay... so if you call the phone number back and enter your number for them to stop calling you on the 602-624-0560 number, you will then get a call from 602-624-1880, and if you enter your number to opt out from that number then you will get a call from 602-624-4884. Just so everyone knows what happens. They say that it takes a couple of days to get off the call list. I think it is a bunch of crap.

When I answered a recorded message started playing with an advertisment for a Great New Security System. The message advises that pressing 1 will get you to a live operator. I pressed it so I could get a mailing address for these pigs to have a warrant served on them. The operator hung up on me almost immediately. Automated calls are completely illegal in the US. Never mind the do not call registry. Track down these pigs and demand your $500. 47 USC sec 227 B1B and B3B
How does one enforce the federal code, and collect from these unscrupulous you-know-whats? Does anyone have enough info on these calls to start a lawsuit against them?
I found this message board (and I'm glad I did) because my mother-in-law doesn't have a computer & asked me to look up info online for her about some wonderful affordable "Family Care" health coverage offer... apparently they called her from this number (which she got off her caller ID) and told her about a $99-per-month health plan that would miraculously meet all of her medical needs. Mom evidently didn't get any suspicious vibes from the call, but was a little stumped when the operator said that she would call back tomorrow after my mom (who probably sounded sincerely enthusiastically interested) had had a chance to think about it and find her credit card; the operator left no contact information, and the more I asked Mom for specifics on the company and the offer, the more I smelled a rat. Mom did try to call the number back for more info, but got that recording that only gave an option to opt-off their calling list (but didn't mention a company name or anything like that).
Great New Security System? Health Care Plans? This is obviously a business that uses deliberately predatory techniques, and is counts on the average American's fears and anxieties to pull off the scams. I hope they're found and shut down before they take advantage of too many more people. I'll try to get around to calling the BBB and looking into the Arizona consumer affairs bureau's contact info, I hope I have time. This kind of thing REALLY pisses me off.
