I recently signed up for more information on an online university for about 4 universities and since then, I've been receiving random calls from about 3 numbers [one of which is this one].
No messages have been left and I refuse to answer the phone for people I don't know and won't call back unless there is a message.
But, so far, I've seen a lot of connection to university of phoenix from other comments and that was one of the online schools I applied to.
I got the links for the schools from the yahoo main page which was advertising nextags online degree offers.
Hope this helps someone.

Thank you for your information.  Now this makes sense.  I applied for a job on line, and part of the application was that I had to go through and fill out some continuing education information.  I now believe that even the job posting was a hoax to create college recruiting prospects.  Again thank you.

the same thing is happenenig to me! i applied for a job, and they had me fill out this form, and now this number is calling me on my cell and at work like 10 times a day! its getting rediculous!!!

Yeah, the same thing is happening to me today! I had applied for a job online and it asked me if I wanted to continue my education, then sent me to a page to answer other questions pertaining to my current level of education. Now I am getting 3 calls a day from this 602-713-1906 number. It's probably a college in Phoenix, Arizona as it comes up in that area code online. I think that job may be a hoax, as previously suggested, just to get this company phone numbers of leads for their college.

The job posting was a hoax.  After you complete the application for online classes the website takes you no where.

That's exactly right!! Never got to the job application section! It wouldn't let me go that far!!!

I received a fake response to my application. I knew better, but I was really looking for a job, so I filled in the information requested and the next day at 8:15 in the morning started receiving calls.

If you get a job offer from a "confidential" employer and while responding they ask if you're interested in education, insurance, etc. just get out. It's a scam.

I just got the same call and today signed up for U of P as well. So I am sure that's them.

It only took them 10-15 minutes to call me.  Waht really sucks is that I'm really looking for a job, and I already go to school.  I've got better things to do than worry about people trying to sell me on something.

Yes your comment helps.  I applied for a job on line and signed up to receive information from the University of Phoenix.  Sure enough......they called and didn't leave a message. Thanks for sharing!

I agree with "now this makes sense."  I, too, sent for some info from the University of Phoenix and have received nearly a dozen calls over the last two days.  Same thing - if I don't recognize the number, I don't pick up.  No one has left a message, either.

Very frustrating and very disappointing, too.

I totally understand this situation; they've been freakin calling me too! It's so annoying! I was looking online for degree programs and now they call me a billion times a day! How do I get them to stop?

If you go to this website http://university.phoenix.edu/# and go into a chat with a representative then you can ask them to take you of of there list and they must comply or you can file harassment charges.  Hope this helps!

your suggestion was an absolutely FABULOUS help.  i had just bought a new cell phone with a new provider last sat.; the phone had JUST been activated and before i even got home, there were two calls from the mysterious (602) 713-1906 no., and they've called 5-6 times a day ever since.  anyway, i followed your instuctions, and was told that some chick named lakisha had given them my no. as a contact.  grrrrr.  i'm supposedly off the list now.  THANKS AGAIN FOR THE TIP.

yea same here peoples...i was applying for a scholarship and Univ. of Phoenix was one of their sponsors or whatever..then like 5 min. later i got a call, then a message! But when i listened to it, it was like a baby crying, then music, and some lady talking. So i assume that the person calling didtn know they were leaving a voice mail..it sounded kinda freaky..

You know, this number calls me all the time and just like you, I don't answer calls I don't know the number to and if they don't leave a message, I guess it wasn't important! But I decided to Google this number and it took me here! Now I know who they are!!!! I did in fact ask for more information about them but I also left my email address and would assume they would email me a million times before they would ever call me! Well thank you for letting me know who they are! I only wish they would call when I'm not at work! :(

yep, same here... thanks, you would think they would leave a message or stop calling...you would also think that they might use the email that they have for you.  This kind of pushy questionable tactic tends to turn me off to the schools.

I had the same phone call.  It was calling me me twice a day, everyday around the same time.  And of course, the same thing, no messages.  I decided to block them, just because I was tired of the phone call.  I think it may have to do with the college thing...

Hello everyone! I thought that I would hopefully help clear somethings up for you so that you can understand why you receive phone calls but no messages... The number that is calling you is from our National Qualifying Center. Their puropose is to call all those that submit information to find out what they are looking for and then transfer that person to the appropriate dept of our school. They are not allowed to leave messages because the cannot provide any advise in regards to our programs. If you trully submitted your contact information because you are interested in talking with a counselor, then you should answer the phone and let the person know what you are interested in. That way they can put you contact with a counselor and that person then can provide you with all the information that you would like. I have no idea why they would call 10 timese a day though... that is ridiculous.

Go bang yourself. Don't even try to make what your employeer does as legitimate. Its all an invation of privacy where the unveristy "thats a joke" of Phonix - a basic network degree for losers that can't get a degree from a real university - and will be reported to every agency that will listen to get this type of crap to stop. Just think what they do with your medical information.

And you are a representative from their school. That would be "advice" not "advise"  Yes, real schools to not harrass and solicit people on their cell phones. I know what school I would definately NOT go to..........

Instead of complaining about 10 million calls a day with NO VM or know the number just answer the dang phone and get it over with...never understand people...you signed up for something of course they are going to contact you...you gave the info out...and it's their job to be prompt on the reply...otherwise you'd be on here complaining they never contacted you....jeez get on with it

I didn't sign up for anything and they still call me. People are answering their phone you idiot and there is no answer, or dead silence or strange background noises.  Everyone is sick and tired of  telemarketing calls. Answering your phone does not stop them, they call and call and call running up your phone minutes and interrupting your dinner.  And because I signed up for something on the internet doesn't give you permission to harrass me unless I specifically check the box that says, "It is okay to call me at home, my job, and my cellphone at all hours of the day and despite the fact that I do answer the phone, you it is okay if you just breathe and do not answer.", send me an email or send me correspondence, but don't call my f*%king house and cellphone and job number 20million times a day.  I am NOT GOING TO BUY *ANYTHING* from you *EVER*....

I was on Yahoo and signed up for their "free" email service since my comcast was stuck in cyber world.

602-713-1906 is that institution of higher education known as university of Pheonix. They call like a collecter, every hour starting at 7:00 to 7:00 at night. With caller ID my wife and I did not take the call but they keep coming. As usual, we will come up with a opening salvo of langague so they will never call us again.

Well that answered that question for me! I was recently going through my phone looking at all the recent calls (my phone doesn't section off the "incoming/outgoing" calls it just piles them all in one big mess. And this number happened to be one of them that keeps calling me constantly! It aggravates the hell out of me! But now that I know who it belongs to, I'll figure something out to get off their frickin' list! On the other other unknown numbers on my calls list!

You can call the number back and ask them to take your name off their call list. That is what I did.  Someone named Tabitha answered the phone.  When she answers she does not say the name of the company. I just requested that my name be removed about 10 minutes ago, so I'll see if I get more calls.  I filled out an application on line as well.
