- hankJust received a call from a male with an apparent Pakistani/Indian accent telling me I had won a $50 Walmart card. I told him never to call again and hung up.

- Call type: Telemarketer
- justintI told him I was interested and he got more aggressive telling me it was a gift. I told him that's the end of discussion and that I didn't want it. He just hung up on me!
- AMGot a call 9:00 am, 3/15/11 from someone claiming his name was John, I could tell it was some kind of sales/bogus call and hung up on him.
- KCPakistani/Indian accent male first said something about some gift card, then he said I ordered something last month with my visa card and there was some problem with shipment. I said I don't understand what you are talking about. Then he said you ordered something last month with your visa card, do you remember now. I said NO! But he just continued and said "we are terribly sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused you, but they are ready to be shipped, can I just verify your name and mailing address." I yelled NO I AM NOT GIVING YOU MY NAME AND ADDRESS. WHAT COMPANY ARE YOU CALLING FROM. He yelled back, can I just have your name and address. I said No Goodbye and hung up. My boyfriend said next time if he calls again, I should say my name is "F**k You" and my address is "Don't call again"!!!
- TbobJust received a call from this number. After a long pause, a recording said I won a $50 Wal-Mart gift card. I hung up. I feel bad for the people, especially the elderly, who fall for this crime.

- TristmanSame thing here..claimed I'd won a Walmart gift card, no strings attached (yeah right)..Said all I need to do is pay $5.95 shipping...I hung up before he tried asking for credit card info
- goonerbuzzHe told me his name is Michael Core. LOL. I told him to give me his credit card number first. So that I can trust him. So he gives me this credit card number and expiry date. The he asks for my Info and I give him his own info. He starts yelling this is my card you can't use my card. Please tell me if you want this or not else just say so. So funny. He was going mental. I told him I can't hear you speak up louder so he yelled even more. It was hilarious. And then I hung up on him. He called again but I didnt pick up.
- lavar| 1 replyGot the same call....When telemarketing people call and offer the free stuff but ask for you to pay shipping, tell tthem to take the cost of the shipping out the gift card amount. I have yet to have a telemarketer give me a good rebuttal for that.
- how it works replies to lavarIt has nothing at all to do with shipping charges. The main intent of the telescammer is to get your credit card # and the related information so they can drain money from it.
You maybe tricked into joining some "club" or something with recurring charges that you will eventually have to dispute with your credit card company (since these scammers will never refund it), or they will just run up bogus charges and disappear. NO GOOD WILL EVER COME OF IT. And you may or may not even get the "discount card", if you do you will quickly discover that it is worthless.
NEVER EVER give your credit card number to a someone you don't know who calls you NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE CROOKS MAKE IT SOUND! - mvangIndian guy on the other end said I just won a $50 gift card. All I need to do is provide me credit card number for shipping. I said No thank you and hung up. This was a week ago. Today this same number is still calling me!! Stop calling please!!!!
- Lauretta TaylorHad this call at an earlier time. Also get text message about a prize of a $50 gift card from Walmart. Bogus and I guess they think I am dumb.
