A woman called me and said she was from Chase and asked me for my SS# so she could look up my loan! This was an obvious scam which I didn't fall for but it troubles me that someone is trying to get my soc. sec #

I received a call from a representative claiming to be from Chase, as well. She asked for my loan number and when I couldn't she asked me for my SSN. I refused because I had no way to identify her and she said she would need to disconnect the call. I called Chase customer service directly and they contacted this number and were able to verify that Gail is a genuine Chase Recovery Team representative.
