Vultures like these buy zombie debt or phantom debt for pennies
and then try collect it at all costs. Harassment and fraud not excluded.

Check the case of George Lovelock, who missed a payment of only 11 cents,
and collectors aggressively tried to collect more than $4,000 from him.

Continually receive calls (which go unanswered) from 215-268-7164, 404-941-8908 and 602-842-7202 - all numbers reported as being used by "Portfolio Recovery" - scam debt collectors.  Caller never leaves a message.  The calls come in on both my cell and land-line, usually one right after the other.  Odd thing is, I haven't had any outstanding debt in well over 10 years.  Also suspect that calls coming from 877-237-0512 are also from these [***], but haven't verified that yet.

please help .these people keep calling me ,Portfolio Recovery Associates,are doing nothing but bothering me,all hour's of the day and night.
they keep trying to get information ,saying i'm someone else .

Oh Portfolio Recovery Services from yet another number.  :(    I can't block them because I am an Admin for this Dept. so I get a lot of rollover calls.  They are always looking for Colleen Somers.  Whoever Colleen, she has never worked here.  EVER!!  And I have told them that over and over and over.   They say they will remove the number from their Database, but then a different one will call.  Sure wish I knew who she was.    She owes me lunch at the minimum for dealing w/all these calls I get for her.

I have actually gotten to enjoy these calls.  I am the admin for my department so I always get calls from this place.  They are usually looking for someone named Colleen Sommers.  I used to get mad (see post above) but I've since started having fun w/them.  I always say I am Colleen and they proceed to tell me that I owe money to WalMart.  I keep them on the phone as long as possible, telling them that I have no intent of paying my debt.  They get quite angry, accusing me of stealing.  It's great.  I have rather boring job and this totally makes me smile when I do it.  Keep 'em coming Portfolio!
