Same harrassing phone call that so many others are reporting: that the factory warranty on my car has run out.
    People!

I spoke to them and said, "I have your caller id. this number has been forwarded to the Attorney Generals Office for review."

    They hung up.

I've been getting the same call. It says this is the last warning, or this is the 2nd warning your warranty is about to expire. It always comes to my Cell phone so there is no caller ID

This automated call has been coming to my business phone every day for about 2 weeks.  There is an option to press 2 to be removed from followup list, and everytime I've gotten the call live, I've done that.  Doesn't matter, the calls keep coming.

I do have a car that has a warranty running out, but the call seemed strange. I pressed 1 to talk to the person and they said, please confirm the year, make, and model on your car. I said, Well I'm not sure that this call is valid, why don't you tell me what car you are talking about. They hung up, and when I called back the number on the caller ID didn't work.

I just received this call as well.  Same recorded message "Press 2 to be removed from the list, press 1 to speak to a representative"

    I pressed 1.

A representative, "Please indicate the year, make and model of the vehicle"

    Me: "Uh... 2004 645Ci"

'Click'  I was hung up on.

    ---

Is this some sort of information harvesting to try to get demographics about car ownership, or something more sinister?  Anyone have an idea?

Yes, I too have been getting this call. I get it at home and on my cell. Somewhat annoying. As far as why, don't have a clue. Especially if they hang up even when someone does accknowledge.

I got calls from 603-214-3622 every week for the past 4 weeks.
Luckily I missed all their calls and they left voice messages stated the "last" warning of expiration of warranty on my car. I followed their instructions to call back and choose to remove my number from their list but it never worked so I called back and left a message menaced that I will report them to authorities, didn't work either.

Actually, who knows to whom we can report them?

Got this call on home phone, also on my cell for the last few weeks. I pressed one the last time I caught the call live. When asked the make and model, I said no, and asked to be removed from their call list - they hung up. I'm sure this is some kind of scam to phish for information, steal identitiies, collect data, etc.

I recieved 2 calls from this number on my WORK phone and I have only been working at my current place of employment for 3 months. I pressed 1 to speak to a representative and I said to them, "I want to know how you got my work number" and they hung up. They are up to something.

Got the same call from them about car warranty.  Tried to call them back to have our number removed from their list but received a message that I had reached a non-working number.  I put our number on the national Do Not Call Registry and there is an area for compaints but your number has to be on the registry for 31 days before filing a complaint.  Might be worth it to try it.  You can sign up on the national registry online at https://www.donotcall.gov/

I keep getting calls from this number as well.  I have learned to just keep hitting the # key when the recorded message comes on.  It stops the recording and after a moment or two, disconnects the call.  Somebody told me to do that with the pre-recorded messages and that it will remove your number from the databank that they use.  So far the ones that I have done this to, it has worked and I've never gotten any more phone calls from them.  Just did it to this one, so we'll see if I ever hear from them again  (By the way, what does "Debt Solutions" have to do with a car warranty??????)

Forgot to add to the post above.  If anything, pounding on the # key, gets my frustrations out with these sort of calls.

The details of the call are the same as the other posts, Car insurence has expired....... blah balh...... blah......

I did some research on the number, It is an unlisted land line phone number in Plaistow, NH. I found out this phone number is carried through "Freedom Ring Communications, Llc (Bayring Communications)" located in Portsmouth, NH. I managed to locate the carriers address and phone number. They are located at "359 Corporate Dr, Portsmouth, NH 03801-6808, United States” And there phone number is (603)766-1000 I called the carrier with this number and posed as a head member of a consumer watch group, and explained the story. The operator was very helpful and stated that he would transfer to a supervisor and they would launch an investigation. If you get a call from any of these numbers I would recommend calling "Freedom Ring Communications, Llc (Bayring Communications)" at (603)766-1000 and asking if the number that called you is one of their subscribers and if it is tell them that you would like to file a complaint.

If we can’t catch the actual company that is calling us we can certainly catch their phone provider.

Great idea!  I used that when they called just now and they promply hung up.  Perhaps this will stop the harrasing calls.  I must get 3 messages a day on my office voice mail from this same company about the stupid warranty.
