Do not leave message unknown caller

just me bitchin about another telemarketer calling my cell phone - just filed a complaint with the do not call registry people - maybe if these fools can start charging these telemarketers a lot of money - they will quit calling????

The representative claims to be from Home Protection offering a free demo security system. I asked them to stop calling as I am on the DNC registry, but they didn't stop, so I filed a complaint. We'll see if that does anything.

Just got a call from that number. What good is the DNC registry if these people call?

Another home security call? Interesting. Earlier today I got a call (unanswered) from 701-920-9871, which is also reported to be the home security scam call. Now this afternoon I got a call (unanswered) from this #.

Received a message just like "Finds It Interesting."  Googled the OTO Group, which is what the Caller ID came up as.  They are a marketing group apparently.  The pitch was a home security system to be installed in return for putting a sign on my property.  I politely declined and then started Googling.  I am glad to know of this web site.  I too am on the Do Not Call List and will follow up if they call again.

Thanks to all of you for the information!  I just got the second call from these guys.  The call sounds like it's recorded so, to be polite, I always ask, "is this a recording," because if is an actual person, they will respond (I'm in sales so know what someone has to go thru to make a sale.  I try to be polite to the telemarketers as they are just trying to make a living).  There was a long pause before each response but they always seemed to have the right answer.  

There IS a live person there but they are hitting buttons with automated recorded responses - interesting way to get to you and I found it fun to try to get them to give a different response, even tried to turn the tables and sell TO them, which was met with silence...lol

Anyway, keep filing the complaints and sending out the communication.  This could be a scam to get you to admit you don't have a security system so DON'T admit you are unprotected!

Just got the same call... "Tom from home protection" and I said you sound like a robot, but that was after I hung up. Annoyed in texas's post made me laugh.

Stupid company that treats potential customers like sheep, I would never ever buy from an organization that is to lazy and inept to actually talk to you on an unsolicited call.
The DNC last is a joke ...smarten the act up or forget it.

An automated multi-part message.  Called me three times today with no obvious way to make it stop...
Plus these were to a "do not call" mobile number.

Sorry, I don't share your sympathy.  These guys are criminals; plain and simple.  They're violating several federal statutes WRT telemarketing and the DNC list.  A) they're supposed to provide you with their do not call policy, they refuse; B) they repeatedly call numbers on the DNC list (I seriously get about 5 calls/day from these [***], and this has been going on for nearly 2 months); C) they refuse to stop calling after the grace period for my request to remove my number.  
Also, this clearly isn't a real company as they've repeatedly refused to give me a website or even a simple company name.  That of course makes it nearly impossible to sue them for their DNC violations since there's no simple way to determine which entity to serve.

home security telemarketer.  got two in the last two days from seperate numbers.  different home securities but home securities none the less.  also on dnc registry.  since they call my cell phone i can add their names to the 'reject call' list.

on the DNCL, considering all the $$$ the goverment get from the citizens you would think they could at least enforce that list. but the more they fail the more I believe that they couldn't run a program if it was handed to them on golden spoon.

I have filed TWO complaints about them - they call me every day!  I'm on the DNC list as well...doesn't seem to be working on these scam telemarketers.

They do not ever leave a message. Since it is an unknown number without a caller id we DO NOT ANSWER!

I got this call too. I was wondering where they got my cell phone number. Do any of you have your mortgage with Wells Fargo?

I generally make it a rule not to answer from any # I don't recognize but I have received this call many times. In fact these people came to my house trying to sell the same thing!!!
