Called, let it ring twice and then hung up without leaving a voicemail...

Just did the same thing here.  Phone rang 2x went to pick it up and gone, but at the same time it gave the number 603-285-6139, it also came in as a private call on call waiting.

Yep - same here just happened. 2 rings and hung up - and on my cell phone no less.

Same, cell call, nothing there when i answered.

Many of these telemarketers get paid by the completed call....if they just get a pickup then get paid....thats why there is many hang ups after call is picked up
