tried to call back but not a working number

I am getting calls on my cell phone from this number daily.  No-one is there if I answer and if I call back, my phone company tells me it is not a valid number.

I got a call on my cell phone from this number too. When I tried to call it back I got a recording that says this number can't be dialed as such.

Did you end up having any problems with charges that weren't yours?

This number has calling my cell for the past few days, several times a day.
Same thing...no answer on the other end.

Apparently this is a company called Life Plans..not sure why they keep calling me though...they are calling my work also. I have tried contacting them to find out what the deal is and no one there can tell me why I am being called.

I have business with LIFE PLANS so this makes some sense.  I will call them on their 800 number and see what gives.

Have received several calls from this number, answered a few with no response on their end.
Have tryed to call but only got a busy signal.
Am unable to trace number.

Hi to all, I just wanted to let you know that you have all applied for a Long Term Care Policy with an Insurance Co. sometime before you started getting calls from this number. The company works on behalf of Ins. Co's and is asked to complete interveiws with their nurses. They call 2x per day until the phone interveiw has been scheduled or completed which is asked of the Ins. Co. we have applied for. They dont always leave messages. Try calling this number to stop the calls and scheduled your appointment. 1-800-544-4326  M-F 8am-8pm est.

You are indeed correct.  This must be a clearing house for the phone qualification interview as I have gotten several calls with no one on the other end when answering.

I too am getting daily calls.  If I answer, line goes dead.  Really getting to be annoying.  What gives?

That is not necessarily true. I have NEVER applied for life insurance with anyone at any time. If that is in fact why they're calling, they're calling the wrong guy.

Correction...not life insurance...I meant insurance. I already have insurance through my employer, so I didn't apply

I am getting these calls also, and I have recently applied for life insurance, however when I called the 800 number somebody posted above, they did not have me in their system and it was not the source of the calls.  My phone will ring for half a ring and then stop, unable to answer, no message.

I applied for long term care insurance through Genworth. They told me that I would be getting a call from a third party to schedule an appointment for a phone interview. Today I got a call from 603-420-1000; my wife answered (I wasn't home) , they told her to have me call 800-544-4326 to set up an appointment. I was sceptical of the (603) number so I googled it and found out what was happening to a lot of people as has been mentioned above. However, I called the 800 number. A woman answered "LIFE PLANS". I asked if they represented Genworth, and she said that they did. I told her that someone had called and asked me to call the 800 number to set up a phone interview. She asked my name. I told her . She said that I was on her list and she scheduled an interview. I told her about all the people getting annoying phone calls from the (603) number. She seemed to be aware of it and only said that it was an automated dialer and sometimes was unreliable. My suggestion would be to keep calling the 800 number and annoy her,or call Genworth and let them know what's going on. They are probably not aware of the problem..

I called the 800 number and it was legit. I had recently applied for disability insurance and they wanted to do a phone interview.

thanks to the anonymous poster.  Yes I did apply for LTC Insurance recently, and so it made sense to me that this was the call I was recieving.  I did call the 1-800 number that you provided, but have been on hold now for 10 minutes. At least I know what  is going on.

This coming from the below listed company who is using a predictive dialer company to recruit nurses.
