Called my Google Voice number.
A recorded message started saying "A home brea" or "A home rate", but disconnected as soon as I started to record the call.
Number is in Concord, NH

Most likely an scam.

They called my cell phone.  Quoted a statistic about home break ins, and was offering a "free" security system.  Most likely a scam.  I recommend you hand up immediately, and if you're interested in security go to a trusted distributer.

Just now got the call and all these other postings about this number are only a few hours old.  I first looked this up with the automated message I heard that the FBI is giving away free home security systems which I knew was bogus so I found this site with a google search and apparently around Aug. 2nd there were people getting this call from a 608 area code.

Just got my second call from this number. The first time, I answered my phone and the recording started about the FBI and home security systems. The second time I got this phone call (a couple minutes ago) I just let it ring and they left no message. Just like everybody else is saying.

crooks use illegal robot dialers that dial all numbers in sequence.  No one gave or sold your number to them.

Does not matter if you are on the donotcall list or if you have an unpublished number - a computer is dialing all the numbers..

Also remember that illegitimate companies and scam artists won't respect these lists.

Therefore once your enrollment goes into effect you should be extra careful of unsolicited telemarketing calls unless you know they come from a company with which you have a legitimate, established relationship

AND THE FBI does not give out free home security systems
