- DaveGot a call from this number yesterday. Telemarketer selling something to TD Canada Trust Visa card customers. It had something to do with seeing your own credit report... I said "No thanks" then they called again today.

- valerieThis numbered called me stating that it is TD offering protection against credit fraud. It seemed totally sketchy and the girl sounded like a weird voice over. She was completely pushy and not professional. Do not answer this number. I think its a fraud.

- JeffJust got a call from a pushy woman trying to get me to subscribe to some credit alert plus. She knew my address and that I have a TD credit card and managed to get my date of birth out of me before I realized something seemed amiss. She wanted to charge my account for a credit check and told me to call a different company if I wanted to cancel. That was my first clue that it was a scam. Buy a service from one company but cancel the service with another??? When I told her I wasn't interested she got really aggressive and pushy. That was my second clue. I had her spell out the company she kept rattling off really fast, which was Amia & Intersections and she very reluctantly spelled it out for me. There is no such company, unless they don't yet have a website. Ah yes, that's why I screen calls!

- VickyI've been called by this number three times now in the last week. The one time I was able to pick it up in time no one was on the other end. Sounds like its a scam from the people above here.
- LoboIm gonna go to my local td and tell them if i need extra protection like that, i would rather not have the visa so cancel it.

- StephI got a couple of calls from this number and one time I finally picked up. This lady kept going on about TD credit protection and wouldn't stop talking. I finally managed to cut her off and said I wasn't interested. Then I think she hung up on me. But since that time, I've been getting a call from them TWO TIMES EVERY DAY. This has been going on for a few weeks, and I'm very annoyed. I already put the number on my reject list, but it still shows up as a missed call. I tried calling them today and it goes to an automated system "Press 1 for English or press 2 for French."
Since they might be a scam I didn't press anything. Wonder what I can do to get them to stop. - DeniseStupid number keeps calling. It used to be once a week and now it's several times a day. When you pick up there's no sound or anything. VERY ANNOYING!
- AndrewCalled me claiming to be from TD regarding my TD Visa. The woman said my last name wrong and had my address wrong as well. TD sends me mail every month so I know they have my correct address. Woman sounded like a recording and since i have spoken to TD reps before it wasnt difficult to tell this was a scam. Number one anytime ive been called from any company call center it is a 1-800 number.

- bencall me almost every day this week. [***]!!!
- San, BCI just received a call from this number and they asked to speak to my husband about his credit card. I asked if there was a problem with the card - (we used to get almost daily calls from TD marketing where they would not speak to me even though I am a joint card holder - we eventually told them not to call again) - apparently there is no problem, just a 'courtesy call' and they would 'call another time'. I was about to tell them not to bother, but they hung up mid sentence. I don't know if it's a scam or not, but they're definitely not professional.

- LizHad also a call from that number.
Tried to find contact via Reverse / People Find. All venues had the same message: Number Does not exist in Canada. Many writers indicated that it is TD Canada Trust related; I suspect that the calls actually originate from India but somehow show up as local. Telus should have more details re: this issue. TD has contracted all phone related services to India. The only time I got to speak to a Canadian agent was when my account was compromised. A friend spoke once to Telus about the same problem but was told that there is nothing they can do since the number is not registered with them. Did not understand what this meant but I think all writers should bombard Telus Customer Service until this nonsense stops for good. - Edu| 1 replyThis is just a telemarketing service from TD.
Not a scam. but they are very pushing and insistant.
Just say you're not interested. lol.- Caller: TD Canada Trust Telemarketing

- macSo is there way to ask TD to cease calling...maybe talking to the bank manager to start. I never talk about financial issues or banking on phone. I've had three calls in three days.
