Called at work. Early in the mornings with no answer

Calls couple times a week.. when you answer, its just dial tone.

Called for 3 seconds and hang up.

They call 2-3 times a day & hung up when I answered the first time.  Annoying...will need to use call block.

They left mail saying they needed to talked some one in the payroll dept and this secord call today so far .First time was 7 this morning from 6042963239 and this message is from 6042963230

Registered as { cbv collections } a debt collecter, sales scam, survey scam, won a prize scam, personal information collector and reseller, don't think anything is too scummy for this outfit though I havent heard of them involved in child pornography yet.

This number has called a number of times, never leaves a message.  I don't answer because I don't recognise the number.  Called the number back today.  Said it was CBV Collections.  Curious, why don't they leave a message??  I don't owe any money to anyone, except my credit card, and that is in good standing.  Curiouser , and Curiouser!!

They keep calling I finally called them back they said they were Cbv collections( I don't owe any money) they demanded my name an address an I said no who r u calling for an the lady said some weird name that I didn't understand an I said nope that's not me an she said ( very rudely) then y did u say yes yes yes wen I asked u if that was ur name ? An I said WHAT? I never said that? An the lady said next time don't lie an then she hung up on me. This was 8 am. Wtf

This # may also be associated to Unknown Caller 604-283-9179.  Since I'm not picking up the calls from Unknown Caller at 604-206-3230, coming in every hour during the day, I'm now receiving calls from the 604-283-9179.  Very persistant bunch.

Within minutes of this number calling an unknown call comes in. It's so annoying as they don't leave a message and I don't answer number I don't know. My theory is if it's important you leave a message.

I have received a call from this number about a dozen times!

This person calls pretty much every hour starting at 0720.  There are also 6 other #s that call throughout the day as well.  I went on the Canada Do Not Call List and found out that my phone # had an expiration date of  January 13/15.  I had to re-register my phone # - hopefully that will help.  Apparently it takes approx. 1 month before it kicks in.  Otherwise it will cost an extra $6.00 a month to have a blocking feature on my home phone.

BC law states that you don't have to put up with annoying calls from shitheels like CBV. All you have to do is send them a registered letter telling them never to contact you again by phone, only by post. They are then legally required to cease harassing you by phone.

(4) A collector must not continue to communicate with a debtor

(a) except in writing, if the debtor

(i)   has notified the collector to communicate in writing only, and

(ii)   has provided a mailing address at which the debtor may be contacted,
