604-679-0429

This is a fraud campaign currently active in Canada using a series of VOIP numbers from the 604 area code.  The objective is to obtain your credit card number and drain your account.

If you attempt to "opt out" your number will be confirmed as live and added to a suckers list for repeated future calls.

Called approximately 6:00pm Feb 11, 2014.  They didn't reply when I answered.

Received a call, caller knew my name and wanted to know about my mortgage.  Was I interested in lower rates.  I said I would not tell him what bank held my mortgage, he hung up.

i was just called now - addressed by my name and then asked about my property at XXXX So and So Street (he named my address) and then asked if i was happy with my mortgage...I said I didn't have one and he hung up. it was creepy...i was about to hang up but he beat me to the punch.

Yes we received a call from some guy asking similar questions..knew our address, names etc....was hostile when he couldn't get answers...odd and disconcerting

The guy did the same thing like Jo reported.  I said I wasn't interested in what he had to sell - he hung up before I was done.

Yep, happened exactly as described above.

Just got a call from this number at 6:57 PM. Same MO as listed above. I politely asked him "Sorry, what was your name?" after the eerie "I'm wondering if your happy with your mortgage for 123 Main St" I called back twice but, geez, I guess he went out.

Soft spoken, possibly Asian male.

Just received a call from someone who knew my name and the address and asked "the mortgage was working out for us" I asked for a name and they hung up.  Very softly spoken Asian male.  Super creepy.

Received a call from 604-679-0429 and called me by my name.  He asked if I was happy with my mortgage?  When I asked who this was, he said do I f***'ing studder and you are a f'***ing c**t.  Then hung up.  Very disturbing!

Just got a call from that number. He hung up when I asked him a question. We live in the north shore area.

I received a call from 604 679 0429 at 3:47 PM June 16th a few minutes ago. The caller a male asked me how my mortgage at my address was coming along. I told him it was non of his business and asked who was calling. He swore at me and hung up.

Got call from 604 679 0429  June 16   had full name and address asked questions about mortgage. Didn't give any information he swore at me and hung up. Soft spoken male  I too  live in the North Shore area .

as above ... Is this Peter? yes. Of xxxx street (I'm in North Van w/ VoIP)? How is your mortgage out there?

As above... North Vancouver. Had my name and street address... as soon as I queried the caller they hung up.

I was called from this number a couple of days ago. It has to be the same guy described in several earlier posts. Soft-spoken, almost breathy. He asked for me by name. I normally would not reply but I am having some work done and it sounded a bit like one of the sub-contractors. He said that he wanted to talk to me about an address that I lived at several years ago. He hung up before I did.

Creepy.

Oh, and as the name suggests, I live in North Vancouver too.

I received a call tonight that is very similar to all the posts.  I live on the North Shore.  Creepy, he identified me by name, referred to my address, then asked the same question as to whether I was happy with my mortgage.  I asked who it was, and he hung up.

Just got a call from 604-679-0429 and a man with a very low voice addressed me with my own name, Mrs. B?  I said who is calling, and he hung up.  Weird.  I don't like that.
