asks for  mark ? wants a mail box number.just kept punching zero and it hung up .it was just automated call. it sounds like bill collecter

I keep getting calls from this number asking for the older user of my phone number. it says being ransfered and goes to that mailbox number as well. I google search the number and its a creti compnay but when you call them. the number just disconnects.

It's a credit adjuster company.

This is collections dept from Metropolitan Credit Adjusters calling, they are either calling to attempt to collect a debt or to harass the person who has this number.

I received a phone call from them as well and I called back because I wasn't aware of any unpaid bills.

They called looking for a person completely foreign to me...
The personel that answered the phone was very rude as well...

This is a horrible company with disgustingly inappropriate employees I answered the phone at someone else's house and asked to take a message and he said "he doubts they would call back" I said "okay if you have attitude then don't leave a number" he continued to say "believe me if you want attitude ill give it to you" this's n had a very deep intimidating voice I hung up all I was doing was trying to take a message I wasn't who he needed not to mention he should not be giving out personnel info I could be anybody.

I do know of my debt with a phone company and I know how much I owe. But having some very rude Asian lady demand more money than what I was aware of..., that just wasn't going to happen. I first thought it was a scam ( I had been scammed before and the situation was that same as this one) then I read that it was a metropolitan credit adjuster. But why would I give na unnessary large amount of money to a very unprofessional company?

They are a scam... Asking for a lot of personal information: your birth date, address etc.. etc... Each time they call, collecting bits and bits of information of you, finally claiming you have a debt from  a telephone provider. As far as I know, I have never sign up for that provider. Beware, file a police report.

Calls two or three times a day. Never leaves a message.

I'm getting 6 calls a day from unknown numbers which leaves no message but beeps. Until recently i got 2 calls from this number which i didn't pick up. Since then, I'm getting 10+ calls a day morning and night after 10pm. Firstly, I don't have any debt.  I picked up those calls  when they called the first few times to see whats wrong and try to figure out if i owe anything or they harrassed the wrong person. All there was were beeps after beeps. So, I;m not bothered with them anymore. Just block them, then they use new number. Since im getting 10+ and calls after 10PM, I'm contacting the police really soon. These are the alternative number they used to harass me.

The list goes on.

They are fraudsters .. They try to collect a debt that I don't owe , refuse to acknowledge that they are in the wrong ,or to do their investigation and realize they are wrong therefore I have no other explanation that this "debt collector company "  is a scheme tying . Unfortunately I had to get my lawyer involved and come after this company / employees ...  Their incompetence is ruining my credit .. What the hell?

I got three calls recently asking me to pay money  $420 to them, a lady said I did not return my Telus internet equipment back to Telus, but I returned, she asked me for receipt which I did not get from Telus, she said the bill will keep adding up if I do not pay, she asked my birthday to confirm who I am, she has my birthday and home address old one and current address,  yes she knows my personal information, where she got my birthday and address???? Should I pay it? She said I can pay first , if they find the equipment they will return my money back.   Should I believe them? I am worried the rising bills which I do not own at all ....
