yes, i have recieved calls from this number asking for someone who i have never heard of.  this is ridiculous.  i don't owe anyone anything...but they don't seem to believe me.  stupid tactics.

Got a voicemail recording and I was curious. So I called back, I made them look up the file by my number (I wasn't giving them my name!) and the file was for someone we didn't even know.

It IS Metropolitan, btw. And for once, the agent was actually really nice.

recieved a call, they asked me information, I asked what it was regarding, he would not tell me, than put me on hold, the next person I spoke to was aBITCH!@!!!!!! I tried to expalin to her I had cancelled this account over 10months ago and hadback up to prove it! she told me I had until 3pm today to pay or else, I asked for a supervisor, once the the supervisor got on the phone she was even mpore of a [***]! and then hung up on me!

Can they be sued or be dealt with in any possible way?
This is getting out of hand, they call my house 3 times a week with annoying and bitchy tone of voice...threatening to go ahead and submit report to credit bureau.

why is it that when they ask for someone, they are trying to work around those kind of questions not to tell you who they are? which makes a person even more mad than they already are, and get that tone of voice with me. let me tell you, you are the ones who take these kind of jobs in the first place, don't try and be big to us on the phone and think you can get away with it. sister pamela

whoever they are ,they are the rudest people ever .how many times do they have to be told that the person they want doesn't live here .usually it's a blocked number ,but today they screwed up and the number came up on my caller id.I recognize the voice as it's the same rude guy everytime and when you try to talk to him ,he raises his voice and hangs up .he said that their number comes up as a blocked number but today it didn't .....

I am an older person and have a hearing disability - could not understand what the person was saying in the message, so I checked here.  I am certainly not calling back now.  Certainly have no debts.

Who in the hell are these people, they keep calling my work number and when I have called them back, they say that they might have called me by mistake and still I keep getting calls from them. are they that [***] stupid that they cant get their [***] together and remove my number from their system when they themselves have admitted that they have called me by mistake

I was getting calls from this number and dismissed it as a scam, called back after finding this page. Dealt with a lady named Lisa who was very nice. Turns out they were looking for someone who had this number before me. They removed me from theur autodialer list.

This number has also called me a few times. I tried to call back. Call was answered by a male and he was very rude. Asked for my account number, said I didn't have one, I asked if they could look up the account to see what it is regarding via phone number, and he said that he has no idea who called me without a number. He then forward me to someone else's voicemail.
I have no debts, so I'm curious to see what name they have under my phone number that I have had for 8 years.
No voicemail was left.

I receive a call from this number frequently. It is unrelated call. Please stop it.

got a call from these rejects just a few minutes ago, some guy named Lorne Church with "an important business matter which is time sensitive"  >> message left of voice mail. (god bless voice mail) :)

I keep getting calls from this number all the time for some person I have never heard of.  I have told them on numerous occasions that they have the wrong number, and these A**holes are absolutely rude.  I am glad I looked in here.  The next time I get a call from them, they better be prepared, coz now I know where their office is located, so they are going to get a visit from me and they are not going to like it at all.

Fido are using this company to chase up old (and very minor) debts. Given how badly Fido treats its customers they are probably getting a lot of business.

The previous comments about this number is correct (being that they are a$$holes).  I received a call from 1-888-797-7727 (reverse number look up indicate that it is: Metropolitan Credit Adjusters Ltd) looking for somebody with a similar name.  The first guy was not rude, although did ask me 3x for the person (I am not deaf, I heard you the first time).  I told them they have the wrong number and the wrong person.  

Then, 30 seconds later, I received a call from 604-684-5449 from an a$$hole (which I assume works for the same company, calling on an untraceable number).  He asked for the same person, which I told him there is no one by that name, although the last name is the same.  I asked the guy politely to identify himself and his business, to which he rudely responds, "whatever, you don't need to know if it is not you" and hung up.  

Okay, I understand collection agencies have a job to do, and I agree perfectly that the people that owes need to pay their debts, but is there a reason why collection agencies make so many mistakes on calling people?  Do they even research before going on a witch hunt?  I am Asian, and my last name (Lee) is the equivalent of "Smith."  They cannot be that [***] to go around and call anybody with the same last name and a similar sounding first name.  It is insane.   I mention this because this is probably the third time this year I have receive these collection agency calls.  The crazy part is, same last names, but 3 different people they asked for.  (Side bar: freaking "Lee-s," stop committing fraud or accumulating debts....)  There has to be an easier way to avoid these people.  I swear I am not the person accumulating these debts, but am so sick of these calls.  I don't even think my number is listed.
