- garyashley replies to rwakemansterIt's GE Money Bank...
If you have a credit card with HH Gregg, it's their financial services. - harassedi agree with garyashley. spoke GE money about son's account with local auto repair shop. see my post regarding 651-286-5023. believe same organization, different number. did get message today from "russ carpenter" saying that "we have a mutual friend that told him i may be interested in a position with his company."
note: "russ" did not leave my "friend's" name or the name of russ's company that i may be interested in! - GotchaThis is GE Money Bank. Never do any business with these folks. I hope they're reading this, ha ha ha. Got my phone number illegally and are calling me. Try to get your $$ now dirt-bags. Trashed my credit, so whats my incentive to pay you? Later, losers....!

All that head ache for 37.15$ in unpaid interest. I have paid them 3 times now and each time I pay a different collection company starts to hit me up for money.

- butchI called the number back.. I can't understand a word coming out of this womans mouth.. All I heard was "Can I have your acct number?" I do have an acct. with GEmoney but at 3:30 pm today I called them to arrange a payment and they accepted and I agreed. Two hours later this number called my cell phone so if it is GEmoney the right hand don't know what the left is doing.
I think from now on I will let them know that I am going to be recording these calls for "quality insurance"- Caller: ?
- rwyes it's Gemoney bank and I did call back. After I explained why I couldn't pay the agent was very understanding about my situation whch really surprised me. Bill collectors are not all created equal. There are some that actually act with kindness to debtors. I guess I had a lucky day with this one.

- WishingIHadn'tHeardOfCreditCareThis number is GE Money, I have an account through Credit Care. My dentist recommended them as a last resort for several thousand dollars worth of dental work that HAD to be done. It was fast and easy to get the credit, have the work done, and suddenly I am off the "promotional/ no interest deal" that I had. My payment skyrocketed from $30.00 a month to $180.00. The $1000.00 "loan" from Credit Care is now a $1342.00 balance owed to GE Money. And yes, some of the customer service reps are more pleasant than others, but I had one rep who identified himself as "Gary Simmons" with an East-Asian accent who gave me the helpful advice that if I "can't make the payment, well that's just adding to the bad credit and more phone calls." Phone calls that are automated and instruct me to hold for an operator. Phone calls that then end in an automated recording that no one is available to take the call I have been holding on my cell phone for 7 minutes to take. What is the point of trying to work with these people? I feel that Credit Care is a scam tailor-made to con people who are already struggling financially into more debt with the promise of "no interest promos" for a program that is supposed to help you afford expensive healthcare. To add insult to injury, I received an email informing me that the company would "settle" for half the debt, but that "GE Capital Retail Bank reports balances forgiven in the amount of $600 or greater to the Internal Revenue Service. You may receive a 1099C. Please consult your tax advisor if you have questions regarding this notice." So they will "waive half the balance" but I will still have to pay it in taxes at the end of the year. ANOTHER SCAM!
I paid $5,084.00 out of pocket to my dentist. The other $1000.00 from Credit Care/ GE money will just have to further ruin my credit.- Caller: Rapid City, SD

- Rip Off Credit CareI had the same situation as the above poster. Had a $4k balance, paid half of it when the promotional offer ran out and suddenly I owed interest on the full original amount which meant my bill was back up to where it started! Decided to stop paying these loan sharks and just don't answer the phone.
