Called my cell phone and I did not answer, since I did not recognize the number.  Left no voice mail.

Credit card scam

Called my cell phone (caller ID showed Herreid, SD). Did not answer; they left no message.

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone.  I ignored it, then returned the call, out of curiosity, and got a message that "this number is no longer in service" after a screeching noise.

I listened and pressed 1 - Some, English not the primary langauge person, tried to sell me some garbage. I hung up.

Had this one before, bot dialing to see who picks up to verify it's a live number. And if you call back, you've just voluntarily given your number away.

I just receieved the same call with the same location. I didn't answer it either...no message.

Called left no message, called back to see who it was. Sounded as if I had called a fax machine or modem, then sounded as a pre recorded (not from Pac Bell) message that said that the number is out of order.

My guess is that this is a scam of some kind, and if you are stupid enough to answer they will do what they can to get what they can. Some such people even use threats of arrest etc.

I did exactly the same thing.  They called, no answer, I called back, and it says that it's been "disconnected".

Rec'd call from 605 437-9457 left no message.  Will NOT return the call.....  Thanks
