I am getting calls from someone with no name or company showing and I will not answer them.  They leave no msg and if I do not know them then no answer.  Probably a bill collector or someone selling something.

I received call from company called Vangent, Inc. 606-258-3400. the girl asked me about my medicare. I did not give any information. I checked internet and their sight 'appears to be legitimate' they list ins. co. they 'represent'. am reporting it to cal. consumer dept. i'm on do not call list. I tried to call them back twice, got an announcement and they hung up.

I received a call from VANGENT, from this number this morning. They knew my and my husband's names (and his is an unusual foreign one) and said they were calling to verify that I had requested Medicare to give my husband access to my medical records. I had, indeed, mailed in such a form to Medicare a week or two ago, so I assume that the call was legitimate. I asked how it happened that they were calling me, and they said their company handles correspondence for Medicare.

Still, the call made me uneasy.

Vangent Inc   called at 8:43 AM number 606-258-3400. Left no message but the information was on called ID. I did not think any one was supposed to bother you before 9 AM. We are on the National Do Not Call List.

I went to to Vangent Inc web site and it is impressive. HOWEVER, many crooks have very nice web sites. I do not believe that Medicare has contracted with them to answer correspondence. Everything that I have received about my Medicare and my husbands has been directly from the government. I think if they were really working for the government they would adhere to the law by not calling before 9AM. They called me at 8:43AM which sent bells off in my mind that they are not legit. Even if they are, I still turned them in to the Nat. Do Not Call people. By the way the office is in Arlington VA but the phone number is out of Kentucky.

I used to work for that call center, they had a different name when I worked there tho but they had the same customer service account as they do now.  They take or make telephone calls for medicare.  Red/white/blue card as some call it.

They are legit.  They are not bill collectors or telemarketors.  No need for concern.  They may have gotten the wrong phone number and calling for someone else.

Is it really that hard to believe the government has contracted their work out to a private company? Come on people. Vangent, Inc IS the contractor handling Medicare - whenever you call 1800Medicare you're talking to someone in one of Vangent's several call centers across the US. "258-3400" is the Kentucky call center.

It was a valid call. Vangent is a contractor for CMS (Medicare). The call you recieved was from one of thier call centers located in southeast Kentucky.

The law only stated that a debt collector cannot call before 9am. Vangent is not a Debt collector. They are a contractor for CMS ( The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service) a US government agency. All calls to and from this agency are for informational purposes only.

As hard as it is to believe ,yes the U.S goverment does out sorce. I worked for Vangent also, it is real.

This company is General Dynamics.  They are a legitimat company opening a call center in Winchester and London Kentucky.  Your number may have been given as a reference for a future employee?

I doubt it.  The lady stated they asked her about "her medicare", not about a future employee.

I used to work for General Dynamics/Vangent. The people you received calls from is from Corbin Kentucky. What happens is, if you're on the phone with Medicare, or the Health Insurance Marketplace, and the connection drops, the CSR has to call the higher ups and tell them to call you back. As much as I hate the company, I'll vouch for it, as it is a legit company.

This number and a woman won't stop calling me either. What's the point of having a phone if people bother you all day everyday. Sick of peoples harassment.

This is a US Government Company, they do call backs if you have a miss call or a question about your profile with either Medicare or Obama Care. I know this information because I work for the company. We have locations in London, Winchester, and Corbin Ky.
