This number called the store I manage, asking for the owner, who does not work here. And somehow the rep knew my name?? Did not say who they were.

I received a call on my business line from 607-217-4662 but as I always do, I didn't answer as it was unidentified on the display screen.  (I have no business in that area code)  The interesting thing is that another call came through literally about a minute earlier from 607-217-5376 which when Googled, appears to be a legitimate listed number belonging to George McPeek in Binghamton, NY.  A message was left, (not sure which number left it), but was extremely distorted and I could just make out some music in the background of the talking, so I have no idea what it was about.  Regardless, I just don't answer my home or business phone unless I know by the display who is calling.  If it's that important they'll leave a message.

Woman said she was with a Merchant Services company regarding Visa/MC payments and the fees that go along with them. When I asked for our number to be removed from their call list, she scoffed. She then said that she would be happy to call back 3x/day until she got to speak to the owner. I told her to just try it. There are plenty of people here that could use a good vent session with an annoying telemarketer! We are a busy company and don't have time to be answering these calls. Stop wasting our time!
