SCAM. Called my cell phone. I called back. They didn't give any company name and claimed they wanted to talk about my personal computer (Windows). I don't use Windows.

Just called, didn't have time to pick up (nor do i ever answer numbers i don't recognize), but after seeing the "Windows" comment. It's probably the same people who tried convincing me last year that my computer was sending out viruses, but couldn't tell me the model type of my computer.

Guy with a strong Indian accent called my cell. Told me that 4 people were trying to hack my computer.  He wanted me to go to my computer and put a code in to block them. After refusing he told me that all my services would be cut off.  He eventually told me his name was Jim Lawson??? Really???  I told him to do what he had to do and hung up. I did ask him why he couldn't fix it on his end since he saw the activity.  SCAM, SCAM

I shot them to voicemail, then checked the number here online. Turns out it's a scam line, so I called them back. A guy  who called himself "Sam" answered and told me I had a computer virus. I told him I don't have a computer and he told me to f*** myself in the a** and hung up on me.

7 calls later Sam asked me to leave him alone because he said he's not the one in charge of the scam, that he gets paid like an employee, to tell me to do things to my computer that will make it vulnerable. He said he doesn't know where the money goes, and that its been going on for a long time and will keep going on for a long time. After he begged me to leave him alone I stopped calling. I had to go about my life.

These guys are not legit, don't tell them anything.

Experienced the same thing as everyone else. Luckily I did a search on this number while the guy was calling me and didn't give away any information. Big scam.

I missed a call from this number and they did not leave a voicemail.  However, after googling the number I found this page and noticed it originated from Oneonta, NY.  Just this morning I received an alert from facebook that it blocked a sign in attempt with my correct password from Oneonta, NY, because it was a location I have never logged in from before.  I quickly changed my password and now can't help but think the two may be connected.

Caller ID only showed New York call.  Not a number that I know so I didn't answer.  Nor do I call them.
I see it's the "you have a computer virus" con!
btw:  unknown or Un-ID'd phone numbers come in with the ring tone that says to me:  "an idiot is trying to call your cell phone".  Helps me know it's likely a con or telemarketer.

I think he said his name was Adam, I called back after checking this number on here to mess with him. At first it was silence. Second call back he answered with "B*tch". I pretended to not know it was a scam, "I missed a call from you, why did you call me? Why are you cursing when I called back, do I even know you?" Then he tried to scam about my computer having a virus..... I'm horrible, asked if he liked a few inappropriate things and hung up. I called back again, he asked why I kept calling peppered with curse words, so I asked if he liked being called, said it was a horrible scam, pretended I was recording it and repeated the number twice "for the internet". (I don't think he liked me much)

Same message, they said that my computer was infected with multiple Trojan viruses, I ask what the virus was, they wanted me to turn on my computer, I said I would not and they hung up.  See, I am a System Administrator for a major company and they can't fool me....

After reading the comments, I called this number back.
Them: Microsoft tech support, your computer has been infected with a virus.
Me: I don't own a Windows computer. How did you get this number?
Them: Uhhhh, your Windows computer has been infected with a virus.
Me: Once again, I do not own a Windows computer, so how exactly did you get this number?
    Them: (suddenly hangs up)
    I call back.
    Them: Microsoft tech support.
Me: Thank you for hanging up on me, now I am 100% sure that this is a scam, and I am reporting you.
    Them: B$*ch. (Hangs up)
    I call back.
Them: (new voice) Yes! Technical Support!
Me: I just wanted to make sure that you understood that I am reporting you, and I will take any additional calls from you as a hostile act.
    Them: Great, that's just great.
Me: I wanted to make sure you understand this before you hang up on me again. Good day.
    (I hang up)

I completed the SCAM report on the BBB website, and promptly added this number to my auto reject list. I suggest that all of you do the same. Classic scammers.

Received call from this number, stating my computer reported Windows errors. And Windows Technical support was calling to assist. I asked if the caller worked for Windows. Caller said 'Yes, this is Windows Tech support."

I believed this was a SCAM. So, I further asked if they caller worked for Microsoft ... "Do you work for Microsoft as Windows as owned by Microsoft."  Which caller responded  Yes, this is Windows Tech support. At this point I stated that the "This call will be recorded."  Then I asked for the caller's "name and business address."  At which point the caller suggested google them... And then hung up the phone.
