Got a call from this number twice last week. Same scam they tried years ago, they dig up old bills, usually pay day loans by shady companies in the first place, and try to get you to pay.
Caller was Angela Sims
same threats as always, you are gonna be charged with civil suit if you dont call back, and as usual, you have only 3 days to resolve the matter, ahahahaha

2 calls in 3 minutes... some guy claiming to have paperwork at the local courthouse and I need to promptly act to resolve the debt, when the person talking won't tell me the company he "represents", that's where the phone call ends.  Asked to be sent an itemized bill and proof of the debt, and the guy skirted the question, then proceeded to tell me I would be going to prison because of this.  When I informed him that you don't go to prison for a consumer debt, and that debtor's prison is something from the 19th century, he then told me that he could be at my house in a half an hour, that he was calling from "within the state, that's when I really pissed  him off by telling him that Cortland, NY is 5 hours away from western Massachusetts, and that he was full of [***], and that he's very welcome to come onto my private property without the aid of local or county law enforcement and without valid authority, because there are lots of guns here.  "You just threatened my life." he said, so I informed him that the simple fact that I own guns doesn't constitute an actual threat.  He hung up.

This number has been harassing me for about a week now, something about a savings account that I haven't had for YEARS.  They obviously don't have MY information, because they are calling my parents' house where I haven't lived for 15 years.  It's the usual thing about a matter in X county, and something about needing to take action to avoid a civil lawsuit.  Bring it on, I'll just go around back and pick the money off the bushes behind the house... I also happen to know my rights, and that account, if I remember correctly, had about 40 cents in it when I stopped going to that bank.  I didn't close it, but they are obviously going on information that is now more than 4 years old, grasping at straws trying to pressure me into paying for God knows what. Lesson learned, here:  NEVER put your phone number on anything on the internet.

Jan 23, 2013 - Originating Phone # (585) 730-6170 - Rochester, NY , Callers: Veronica Barone and Sarah Walters , Company: Check Systems LLC.

First call went to voicemail, a Veronica Barone from Check Systems LLC stated, " This is Veronica Barone calling you in regards to a time sensitive matter here as well as a pending legal case against your name and SSN# at this time I do need to speak to you as this contains umm some severe allegations....you need to contact me immediately prior to 5pm Eastern Standard time before your case is filed out."  

I called back (585) 730-6170 and spoke to a Sarah Walters. She stated that I had an unpaid payday loan balance with webpayday.com back in August 2008. I've never opened an internet payday loan with webpayday.com.  I googeled webpayday.com and the website is no longer making out loans and it forwards you to cashloansource.com.  Also, Sarah mentioned an account I had with a credit union in 2008 and that they're collecting on checks that weren't paid. Well, I told her I need to research on that account;  she agreed and advised me to call her when I'm ready.

All I can say is............This woman is the strong arm. This woman is called in when a call passes 24hrs.!

They kalled me also saying they are goin to get me for fraud. Which is bull I aske were the lady were shes calling from she got mad and hung up then 3 mins later a man called and I told him ur the same scam that calls me last time contact my lawyer

This company keeps calling me saying they have a warrant for me. they are reporting themselves as Check systems but they are out of Cortland Ny. I have not written checks nor do i write checks. They are calling relatives and harassing them This foolishness needs to stop...They are calling from phone number 607-299-0799.The woman says her name is angela Sims. This is a scam. They talk to you so crazy that you just end of hanging up. I want this drama ended now.

You ROCK Lila!!! That's telling that fool what it's all about. It's fun to play with them. I love to invite them over, we keep a 20 gauge Remington by the front door, among other fun things! (We live in Arizona) we can have that kind of stuff. Keep them on the run girl!!!  :-)

Pose to sound like an official from Chex Systems. Different agents call and threaten to file "papers" in a old county I lived in 15 years ago. Says I have 1-2 days to confirm my address with them however this has been happening for 5 weeks now, usually on Thursdays.  This is clearly a scam and have reported it to my state consumer affairs department.

Does anyone know who I can contact on this matter - they are calling me and my work on something that is NOT accurate.  It's bullsh*t that someone has to go through this and have these scammers call.  If anyone has any suggestions please to share.

These people said that I still have a chance to dispute. and that the county I live in was filing charges.  sad thing is these people already got $350 out of me.  but now I know

I have had this number and quite a few other ones harassing me at my work saying I owe a payday loan that was never mine. They said it was for 4,000 and that if I didn't pay then they were gonna get me on felony charges. Does anyone know anything that can be done about this? I've been going through this for two years.

Have been getting calls from random companies ever since I signed up for free household product samples on a website.  Calls from all over the US either trying to sell me something  or pretending to be debt collectors.  I think they sold my number and haven't received any samples.  Don't fall for it, it's a scam.

SCAMMER. This guy pretending to be from IRS, wants my credit card number to pay him $2500. in back taxes
