Keeps calling me so he can fix my computer. Very rude when you won't give him the information that he wants to access your computer!!

Same here. Said he was a windows certified tech from NY and insisted on getting info about my home pc. I just hung up. Unsollicited call, obviously a scam. Stay clear.

Same thing just happened to me. She wanted to get info on my computer saying that it was sending her messages and that it was infected. I could barely understand her as she had a very heavy accent. I asked where she was located and she told me in the usa. I then asked if i could speak with an american cause i didn.t understand a word she was babbling. She then passed me to i guess another scammer and he said he was american. Once again i didn<t believe him as he had a very heavy hindu or pakistan accent. I asked where he was located and he told me the UK. Well since i have caller ID and i know that the area code 607 is in new youk, i definatrly knew he was a scammer, so i told him to " [***] OFF" and hung up.

Same number called me at 11PM, as with others they had a very thick accent, was hard to understand.  I got the basic message being... your computer is infected, I am from Microsoft, I need to help you fix it.  

Beware of this caller, do not give any of your personal information.

I Got a couple calls from this number , but I don't  answer if I don't know the number, I let my answering machine do the job , but they never let a message , so I came to this page to check where that number was from.
Make sure you guys have an answering machine, just to make things easier .

I did not answer but I can't wait till they call back this number called before and told me there was a problem with the computer but I was heading out the door unconcerned about the computer told them to call be just wait I will have an earfulll for them and then I will call the police as these mother fers want to get ahold of banking info to steal our money right before Christmas

I got a call from this number and called back but the machine said the number was not in service. I was surprised that whoever dialed me because I live overseas.

I just got a call from this number saying  my computer would be attacked by malware in seven days and he needed access to  my computer to prevent it. It was interesting that my caller Id showed this call was from a pay phone.

Call from this number with someone claiming they were with "Windows Service" company and that they were calling be because my computer had a virus. I asked which IP address... he said he wasn't allowed to tell me that. I asked for which MS Windows license key and he rhymed off a number which doesn't match my license. I told him that, but he insisted. So, I threw another questiion at him... for what version of Windows was the key --- he said Windows7, I told him I didn't run Windows7 and he hung up.

Believe that they wanted to be given information to let them connect to the machine either steal information or damage it.

I received a phone call from this number also.  I did not answer because it was from an unknown area code.  We do not have that area code in Mexico...beware of these guys..

This number is being used by scammers who call people who have lost dogs.  They offer to search for your dog for a price and promise results or your money back.  They do not have people who search for dogs.

had the hindu accent guy call from 2 different numbers this payphone number  6077670115, as it showed up on my  caller id, and a number from arlington texas...8172759369,, and i pulled up that number as well, and the comments were just alike the same guy and the same windows microsoft problem, he is rude also,, i want to know who to report this matter too, what an idiot...

A man with a thick, south Asian accent called, indicating he was from "Technical Services" at "Windows" to talk about my computer.  When I asked him to repeat who he was calling from, he said "I am calling from the Windows Operating System to talk about your computer."  I laughed out loud and replied, "Gee, why do I think this is a scam? This will be fun. Go ahead."  He immediately hung up.  It was so lame in so many ways....  Remember folks, Microsoft does NOT call you to ask for information about your computer or to tell you that you have a virus.

Same thing here in Canada, but it's was a woman... When I ask her to speak french, she said that she was speaking only English. But her English was so bad i could barely understand what she was saying.

I got a call from this number and they left a recorded /computerized msg saying that the IRS was trying to sue me and I needed to respond immediately. However when i call t he number back it says 'not in service'

Got the same recorded message as Nora today on my answering machine but it said to call back a different number that was 202-864-1223 (also a scam).  Voice said they were from IRS and that they have been trying to get a hold of me! Very scary and annoying!

I received the same call as Nora and Barb, got the same message from a caller yesterday afternoon (11/3/2014).

The caller ID showed New York. The message did not say who the call was for, just urgently stated "we have been trying to reach you and this is your final warning that the IRS is about to file a lawsuit against you", instructing me to call (202)864-1223.  The voice sounds very American, like some mean version of "Suri". Since I know a few attorneys who work for the IRS, and I also know that a "threat to sue" phone call is NEVER, ever, ever how the IRS would pursue someone or notify a person or business of a problem, I knew this was some B.S. scam.  Still, my heart raced a little for a moment listening to the message, even as I was thinking "no way would the IRS call me from New York, or leave voice-mail breaching confidentiality" and knowing scammers can fake the phone number that shows up on caller IDs.
