Call ignored and no message left.

Picked up the phone and said hello and the other end beeped like an answering machine.  The ID just said Binghamton.

Why do i get these?

Also ignored call, no message left. I am on the no call list so how can they call?

My phone indicates I got a call from this number at 11:53 this morning.....no msg.

I just googled the number.The Vestal Vet. Hospital is listed with this number(along with two other numbers). I don't use their service so not sure why I'd get a call from them.

it's a solicitation for travel funds, vouchers, etc ... trying to sell time shares for Cancun.  free meals, drinks, perks, etc.

I got this phone call yesterday and it was a recorded voice saying something about the FBI is prosicuting, then I hung up, don't need to waste my minutes.

I am on national do not call list, why are these people bothering me? When I answered, it was recorded message asking if anyone in our house had ever used Yaz, etc. I tried calling the # back to ask them not to call, and was entered into sweepstakes. Great, another bother that will have to be dealt with later...groan

The DoNotCall Registry works on voluntary compliance like speed limit signs on highways. Honest telemarketers honor the Registry, abusive telemarketers and scammers do not. Conversely, if you are on the Registry and you receive telemarketing calls, you may be sure they are from abusive telemarketers or scammers so toy with them as you wish, they are begging to be messed with.

My call from this number today identified themselves as WCA (whatever THAT is) then thanked me for taking the internet survey (I didn't take any internet survey) and started going on about a sweepstakes.  I hung up at that point.  I had received several calls from this number in the last week, but either wasn't home when  they came or I ignored them.  My Caller ID just says 'Unknown Caller'.  Very annoying!!!!

received a call didnt pick up assumed rightfully so its another scam- went to look up its source--I too am on a do not call which sadly  no one follows----

Yeah, they call every day. Not anymore. BLOCKED the number (a nice feature of Panasonic phones...too bad criminals like Verizon, Time Warner etc. don't allow for blocking calls, and instead encourage abuse they get paid for).

It would be nice if Iranian lunatics, and troubled loners (like Philip Chism and James Holmes) and guys like George Zimmerman don't do what needs to be done...F**K UP these telemarketers. Put FEAR into them. Make them understand they could get, at the very least, both their eardrums punctured.

They are not just pests, most of them are scammers.
