they asked can I verify who I am with my date of birth..I found it strange and hung up

Received a message from this number didn't answer got a voicemail but deleted it because it sounds like the same people I just dealer with this morning from another number. Scam!

They also asked me the same. They said it was in reference to a personal business matter.

This is a debt collector called General Revenue Corp. They handle Eastern Michigan University Collections.

I received 48 calls from an Ohio area code number over a two month period to my Google Voice number.  The calls always went to the spam folder.  Sometimes they left a robo-voice message that they were trying to collect a debt from a person who apparently used to have my number.  It is General Revenue Corporation.  I blocked the Ohio area code number and within 3 days started getting calls from this Binghamton, NY area code number(607-821-4179).  Same company, same robo-voice message.  I blocked this number.  Will see what happens next, I can play this game as long as they care to.  I refuse to return the call and speak with anyone there.

Several calls received from this number. Screened all. Answered none. No message left.  Not sure if to my Ooma number or the landline number I ported over.

Just received a call from this company.   They were looking for someone I've never heard of.  Tried to get into their system to stop the calls.  Exceeded number of "hold".  Called them right back.  They told me there was nothing in the data base for my number or the person who they were trying to reach.  SO, I told them to stop calling here.  They told me the "could not" without their system populating their computer base. I then told them I was to contact the FTC for harassement.  They hung up on me.  OH WELL.  I'll do it again gladly!

GRC is a subsidiary of SLM Corporation, commonly known as Sallie Mae.

same people who have tried calling me from another number, same voice -- and wouldnt provide me with their name, purpose of call, and who they were calling for. scam.

funny they called me too, and I have never been to eastern michigan. they wont stop calling, nor would they provide me with their own information.

I just got a call from this number, but my cell cannot receive rejected calls if they are not registered on my phone. So there in your face whoever was trying to call me.

Well, I, for one am in Pennsylvania and have NOT attended any classes. Those that I did attend, were paid for at the time of attending, many years ago.
