Received a call from this unknown number.

I live in the Appleton, WI.

got this number on my cell phone. They left no message.

Call from this number.  No message.  Called them back got a recording, if you wish to be removed from calling list press 1.  Then asks for your number and #.  It immediately hangs up on you.

Did a reverse phone look up and it is telemarketers.....they have called here x3 in the last few minutes..I do not answer but i did file a complaint on the do not call list...

I received several calls from this #, too, and used to live in Green Bay.  I think it has to do with the presidential election?  Not 100% sure, but I think that is what it has to do with.

I got a call from this phone #.  When I answered it was a guy saying that they'd like to do a public opinion poll.  I hung up.  Not sure how they got my phone # since I'm on the do not call registry.

It doesn't pay to register a complaint with the Do Not Call registry.  I'm so fed up with them; why even have this list when any number of telemarketers and political robocallers can get around it?  I'm on both the National and Wisconsin lists and I still get robocalls on my cell phone.

The wife and I are on the do not call list, and I have to ask why.  We still get all these bogus phone calls from people who never leave a message, never answer when you call back, and the majority of the compaints that I see online, are these are scammers.  Please, I DO NOT want these types of calls-that is why we are on the DO NOT CALL list.

The problem is that the do not call list excludes political calls...no way to opt out of the robocalls

I talked to the guy from "Nationwide Public Opinion Firm" or that is what he calmed. He asked about the presidential election and the Senate race in Wisconsin. Once I started asking about who funds the so called company ( which is most likely BS) he hung up.
I googled Nationwide Public Opinion Firm" and THERE IS NO SUCH THING. Probably one of the Astor turf organizations.

Political survey that refused to reveal who they are doing the survey for.  The person kept telling me "Nationwide Public Opinion Firm."  I tell them I used to design and administer public surveys I want to know who hired them.  She'd give her name.  "No Sandy you didn't hire the firm, you are administering the questionnaire.  I want to know who employed your firm."  She wouldn't tell me I hung up.

I get these calls too, and never let them talk. I just double punch the phone button so it hangs up right away. Unidentified callers, just like anyone coming to my door wearing a mask or hiding their face, they don't get in, or answered. Except on Halloween, for the "door" part.

I live in Kenosha and got 2 calls from them, no message left on my machine.  I agree, the Do Not Call list just isn't doing its job.  These calls are so annoying. So much for a peaceful meal .....

If you have Caller ID, use it!  This call ID's as nothing more than Madison, WI, which should be reason enough not to pick up the phone.  If you do pick it up, even if you immediately disconnect you have already shown your number is a "live" number.  In fact, if you've done that a few times before, your number is already on lists sold and distributed as lists of live numbers, so you may have unknowingly screwed yourself.  If you have an answering machine or voice mail, use them!  If it's a call you really need to hear, there should be a legitimate message left.  Resist that urge to pick up the phone if you don't know who it is in advance!
